Quitting Facebook?

Has anyone done it? Did you regret it?

I check it way too often and it's not fulfilling but I fear I am addicted to it. It's a great way to keep in touch with distant family and friends but surely there are other, healthier ways to do this?

Has anyone a healthy relationship with Facebook who could pass on some tips/wisdom? How do you change from being a Facebook junkie to restoring healthy balance in your life?

I do realise it's unreasonable for a grown woman to be stressing over this!

I've got an account but hardly ever go on, that helps a lot I find. I was a member of some groups on there which got cliquey and annoying and I'm happier since I ditched them.

Not rtft but I quit a few years ago. I have whatsapp to keep in touch with family and friends. I love it. Fb used to make me angry as rl friends used to post such shit, I couldn't correlate the 2 personalities. Their fb persona and their rl personality. One of the most useful things I have ever done. Sometimes have a nosey on dh's fb and feel I am not missing anything.

I quit last year and don't regret it at all. Just didn't see the point of it anymore and got fed up of boring/extreme/weird/overly personal posts.

I haven't deleted my account, just the apps. Its only been 5 days but I haven't checked it since or felt compelled too and I really do not miss it whereas i thought I would! I had also started to dislike people because of their facebook personas. Thanks for starting this thread OP, it encouraged me to actually do it . Funnily enough, I am getting more done Grin
