To expect people to be dressed if they've invited people round

Just that really- got invited round for Xmas drinks at some friends at 4pm and they were in their pjs and stayed like that for a 2 hour visit - Aibu to feel uncomfortable with the extreme casual-ness of it all. Even my kids asked why they were in their pjs Confused

TheKitchenWitch because they work hard all week and wear business dress and want to slob out on a Friday night but also want to socialise with friends. So best of both worlds! As long as everything is appropriately covered, I don't really care! I'd rather see friends than worry about what they are wearing. I am frequently in pj's till late in the day and when I was studying, often all day. Although, personally I would dress if I was expecting company but wouldn't be flustered if someone turned up unexpectedly when I was in my nightwear - as long as said nightwear was clean and not threadbare!

Also my mother would have a total crisis if this happened to her, she despairs with my love of pj's and wouldn't even put the bin out in hers! I happily wander down the drive to get things out of my car boot if necessary. I am well wrapped up though and more covered than many people on a night out, I don't do skimpy!
