Like those where the OP writes hardly anything and expects others to entertain them.

Now you go.

OP posts:

Get counselling and or Get anger management
As if either of these is free, and readily available accessible solutions
In reality there are waiting lists for free counselling

Yay! There's a strip wash vs shower thread up and it's getting heated. Someone please go on and mention bum flannels. :o

The threads that baffle me are the ones where the op posts a question that noone on Mumsnet could possibly know the answer to and which they could resolve quite easily with a quick conversation or text, eg

I bumped into my friend in Tesco. It's her birthday in a fortnight and we usually organise a girls night out for this. However she didn't even mention this while we stood chatting in the frozen aisle. AIBU to assume that she's not going to invite me along this year?

My brother is bringing his new girlfriend round for dinner on Friday but now I think I remember my mum saying the new gf is vegetarian. Do I have to cook two main courses?

I've just received a wedding invitation to my cousin's wedding in April. Even though she knows my baby is due in February the invitation is just addressed to Mr and Mrs Username. Does this mean she doesn't want my baby at her wedding?

I'm even more baffled that so many people reply to this type of post, often with very confident views.

Wedding threads are always priceless, and descend into irascible fights quickly
Anything to do with cash bar, children invited or not,and who's mum is most important

Just thought of one (mostly because I've just read it) the recipe threads where posters come on to tell everyone about their 'delicous' 'yummy' or whatever adjective they prefer recipe they use. There's a real sense of superiority and the need for others to marvel at their amazing culinary skills is apparent.

So often the recipe sounds really unappetising too.

dustarr73 · 08/01/2017 12:05

Breast v bottle feeding and SAHM and Wohm really get my goat.Just do what you want.

BabychamSocialist · 08/01/2017 14:36

Do I want to know what a bum flannel is? Or is this like the cock washing thing?

Magzmarsh · 08/01/2017 14:41

Threads in aibu where the only rational answer could be YANBU, like "ndn keeps pelting our house with rotten eggs and dog shit aibu to have had enough of it" it's just pointless.

miffygirl1 · 19/09/2018 21:59

Does anyone by any chance have a boden £10 off voucher that they're not going to use that they wouldn't mind me using??

ilovesooty · 19/09/2018 22:07

Wtf?
Is this the only thing you use MN for? You were on the scrounge last year too.

miffygirl1 · 19/09/2018 22:30
