AIBU to ask you to give me your most outrageously posh names for my....... bunnies. We have rescued 2 and one is already called Dave. Would like to give the other something splendid to make up for all the years he has been nameless...! If you give me many spiffing names I may even re name Dave. Thanks!

Definitely rename Dave, but something that can be shortened to Dave... (Davissimo VonSomething?)
We require a pic, obviously... Grin
Well done on rehoming bunnies! Such lovely animals so often neglected.

PoohBearsHole · 27/12/2016 21:50

Rollo
Poshest name by far, it's a "braying" name

Bogeyface · 27/12/2016 21:50

I know a St John who hates his name because a) he isnt posh in the slightest but was named after a very rich aunt insisted on it with bribes of being left money in her will, which his parents were then cut out of and b) hardly anyone knows how to spell it!

So in his honour you should call the bunny Sinjun/Singen/Singun :o

Bogeyface · 27/12/2016 21:51

Ralph pronounced Rafe is a good one too.

bananafish · 27/12/2016 21:51

lol both of my son's names are on this list - first and middle names - am not very posh at all, though.

I'm throwing in Peregrine, Cosmo and Chrétien. All were on my shortlist - why? just why? I'm blaming the hormones.

Chewbecca · 27/12/2016 21:53

How about Jolyon?

Bunnyfuller · 27/12/2016 21:53

Just called our pug puppy Lord Diggory Puglington. Dig the pig for short.

Galdos · 27/12/2016 21:54

Balthasar? I heard a two year old addressed as that (full name, no 'Balti') at Acton Town underground depot a few years ago. Mum (presumed) was wearing a very chic pale cream knee length coat, utterly unsuited to close contact with two year olds, and presumably mama (unless a very seriously posh nanny).

There was a gorgeous little boy Gerbil in the adoption bit of my local pets at home from mid July until he finally got adopted last week (YAY!) whose name tag read "Fortesque-Smyth". Every time i was passing i'd go in to see the little fluffies hoping he'd been adopted. I would absolutely have adopted him myself but i already have 6 cages in my room housing 2 sets of gerbils, 2 syrian hamsters and 2 russian dwarf hamster brothers who sadly didn't get on and needed separating, so i have zero room and no money for a new tank, toys etc.

StepCatsmother · 27/12/2016 21:59

Paddington & Percival Haversham-Smythe :)

Temporaryname137 · 27/12/2016 21:59

There's an ottilie in DD's swimming class. That's fairly posh!

GloriaGaynor · 27/12/2016 21:59

Willoughby Grin

You gotta call one of them that.

If you're a fan of queen jilly, you could go for Rupert and Lysander.

The Honorable Bartholomew Granville Smythe-Jones. Affectionately known as Pudkins. Just because.
