This is so sad.

OP posts:

There were members of the gangs in both Belgium and Paris who didn't kill themselves anx tried to do more attacks. Same with Charlie Hebdo.

The initial Pakistani guy arrested had also now apparently gone 'missing' (if he was ever released at all). It's just bizarre. But after the cover up in Cologne when they denied a mass rape had happened who knows what the German state would do to manipulate news?

mimishimmi · 23/12/2016 07:23

"It's amazing isn't it? All these terrorists leaving their identity documents all over the place. They must be very careless"

Or they are planted...

birdybirdywoofwoof · 23/12/2016 07:27

Here we go.

mimishimmi · 23/12/2016 07:50

Exactly. Here we go ... again. We're Irish , we know exactly how this works when certain people want to collaborate together ,again, to nick everything from large numbers of people and knock off those who object, again. They created this mess with that objective in mind anyway.

WW1, WW2, and setting us up for WW3 and then they have the temerity to whinge about the state of Western civ when it's their hands stained in blood.

What?

scaryteacher · 23/12/2016 09:53

I think they need to look over the German border....he'll be in Molenbeek by now. Schengen is such a wonderful thing.

OnionKnight · 23/12/2016 10:01

Can I just check here...? I'm supposed to believe that the man that drove the truck into the German market had the presence of mind to take all his immigration paperwork with him, and then left it in the truck / nearby before running off and yet despite having this identifying paperwork, the police still questioned the wrong person for two days, in the meantime ISIS claimed responsibility for this, somewhat later than usual and seemingly by sending a private communication to someone unspecified, rather than their usual way of posting a video message very publicly on social media..

Now he's been killed in Italy despite being told by German Police that they were confident that he was still in Berlin?

So many questions. But in light of this particular thread: how the fuck did he manage to get from Germany to Italy when everyone was looking for him?!

lljkk · 23/12/2016 10:14

So is that your opening gambit in ongoing conspiracy theory, Onion?
The guy was more angry about having to leave Germany than cared about any religious extremist ideology, imho. He was after revenge on the whole society for rejecting him personally.

It takes 30 people to run a surveillance operation on one person. Unless we resort to an East Germany style spy on everyone else state, Of course some people will slip thru.

Sad the world we live in. Glad the guy didn't get away with it.

Temporaryname137 · 23/12/2016 10:15

careful mimishimmi, that tin foil hat seems to be cutting off your circulation!

Temporaryname137 · 23/12/2016 10:17

"The guy was more angry about having to leave Germany than cared about any religious extremist ideology, imho. He was after revenge on the whole society for rejecting him personally."

this would certainly fit with the mindset of the young man who killed people at the shopping centre (think he was Iranian/German?) who apparently kept shouting, "I'm German!"

This is how isis is a big threat to the west: they prey on the disillusioned who can see no point to life and persuade them to do this sort of fucking disgusting thing.

1horatio · 23/12/2016 10:18

temporary

That isn't that difficult. I've been in Switzerland the last few days and whilst security has been heightened (public places etc, armed police)... there aren't enough boarder guards to secure all boarders (especially not these in the mountains) because they had a lot of staff cuts after adopting Schengen.

birdybirdywoofwoof · 23/12/2016 10:18

Who do you suspect, Onion? You think the Tunisian guy was innocent? And where is your evidence? Who would have deliberately humiliated the German security services in this way? (The Illuminati??!!)

What is it you find so implausible?

1horatio · 23/12/2016 10:23

Oh, he apparently didn't go through Switzerland but through France to Italy.

Well, I do know that after Paris France did not have the boarder controls at the douanes to Switzerland. Maybe they still didn't have enough staff to control the German boarders?

And he screamed Allahu Akbar whilst shooting at the police/being shot by them.

Merry Christmas, I guess. This is such a mess :(

Temporaryname137 · 23/12/2016 10:25

jesus fucking Christ. what a sad mess.

Limer · 23/12/2016 10:30

This is fishier than Saturday night at Harry Ramsden’s. So this Tunisian conveniently by accidentally left his ID in the lorry’s cab, then disappeared, then was entirely co-incidentally stopped by Italian police doing a routine patrol, who immediately recognised him and shot him dead?

1horatio · 23/12/2016 10:30

Tbh, the first guy they arrested...

They either shouldn't have let him go or it sounds a bit like a case of having no idea about anything and arresting the first 'kind of' brown/foreign man you could find.

So, either way, it's a cock-up

1horatio · 23/12/2016 10:31

Limer

They didn't just shoot him dead. He shot at them as well...

Maybe the Italians simply did their job. Idk...

Bluebolt · 23/12/2016 10:39

He had been in Italy so the Italians probably had surveillance on known associates. If this was a German conspiracy to pinpoint they would of probably aimed at the far right than an immigrant Muslim connection the last thing they need.

Limer · 23/12/2016 10:40

1horatio it's not the shooting, it's the fact that the handful of random people stopped by the Milan police's "routine patrol" just happened to contain the most wanted man in Europe. Pull the other one, it's got bells on.

birdybirdywoofwoof · 23/12/2016 10:42

They don't accidentally leave their Id. They want notoriety.

Or is your theory that the Germans planted the Id and this guys a patsy? Perhaps you could elaborate? There's plenty of conspiracy sites that will help you.

birdybirdywoofwoof · 23/12/2016 10:44

The poor Tunisian guy, eh limer?!

Archfarchnad · 23/12/2016 10:53

Well, I'm relieved he wasn't in Berlin the whole time. Dd2 insisted on going to Urban Outfitters yesterday which is a few hundred metres from Breitscheidplatz. Teenagers really think they're invincible.
We've decided to go ahead with our Christmas market visit later today. Concrete bollards have been installed at the one we plan to visit, but we might also go to the one market that charges entrance, and hence is sealed off with bag checks. But staying at home scared is not an option. That seems to be the general Berlin attitude - they're a tough lot round here!

ElfontheShelfIsWATCHINGYOUTOO · 23/12/2016 12:00

I must admit I am not following the suspicion comments, I don't understand the point of it all.
However they got him but apparently on a routine spot check, not proper checks, why was he heading to Milan? Rome - christian cradle of Christ? Its always surprised me Italy has not had any attacks, with all the potential for ISIS to enter Italy on the migrant boats etc and being so strongly associated with Christianity?

Temporaryname137 · 23/12/2016 12:31

If they found him wandering around the street, injured and looking disturbed - wow, don't isis look after their "soldiers"?!? They were quite happy to abandon him to fleeing the scene with no support. Of course, this is the same godly mission to kill thousands of infidels that can only manage soft targets against unarmed people and kills 10's, not the millions that their fiery rhetoric preaches...

I'm rambling with rage and sorrow, but basically I guess I am saying, come ON disillusioned youth, this is just another crock of shit that's going to use you and sell you down the river, not some glorious saviour type thing!
