AIBU to think it's odd that DD's boyfriend got me a boyfriend?

Would you find it a bit uncomfortable?

They've been together for 8 months and are almost 16. It would be a bit different if they were older.

Got you a boyfriend? What do you mean? Confused

Bluntness100 · 08/12/2016 10:26

How did he "get you a boyfriend"? A boyfriend isn't something you're given.

MimiSunshine · 08/12/2016 10:27

Lol did you mean present, or are you now going out with your daughters boyfriends dad? how very eastenders

If you did mean present then no its sweet and more than likely his mum suggested it

HaveNoSocks · 08/12/2016 10:28

Explanation needed! DO you mean you were introduced to your current boyfriend by your DD's boyfriend?

Floggingmolly · 08/12/2016 10:28

is it a friend of the 16 year old?!

IggyPopsicle · 08/12/2016 10:28

Are you Gail Platt?

ArmySal · 08/12/2016 10:29

Are you just waiting for 50 replies before you answer your vague OP? Hmm

MadHattersWineParty · 08/12/2016 10:30
Confused
LineyReborn · 08/12/2016 10:30

Is the Milk Tray Man or just the Milk Tray?

QODRestYeMerryGentlemen · 08/12/2016 10:31

Inflatable?

ageingrunner · 08/12/2016 10:32

Is it meant to be 'got me a present'?

ageingrunner · 08/12/2016 10:33

If so, blimey op, that's a massive Freudian slip right there! Grin

TupsNSups · 08/12/2016 10:34

Its not his head teacher is it Shock

ageingrunner · 08/12/2016 10:36

The hot head teacher? That would be quite a coup. I'll check the independent now

olivertree · 08/12/2016 10:39

Oh my gosh, I meant present.

--Major lack of sleep

I'll get the title changed

ArmySal · 08/12/2016 10:41

Right...

TheNaze73 · 08/12/2016 10:41

Don't change the title, that gave me such a laugh Grin

I wouldn't think it odd at all. It's a nice gesture

WalterWhitesNipple · 08/12/2016 10:41

Why is that weird? I think it's nice of him Smile

WalterWhitesNipple · 08/12/2016 10:41

Unless the present was something from love honey...

klassykringle · 08/12/2016 10:42

That's a brilliant slip there Smile I'd think it was nice myself! maybe his mum bought it though

olivertree · 08/12/2016 10:42

But it looks like I was trying to be funny Blush I really wasn't... I think I was actually going to write birthday present.

OP posts:
baconandeggies · 08/12/2016 10:42

It's not odd at all.

ageingrunner · 08/12/2016 10:44

Are you SURE you don't subconsciously want him to find you a boyfriend op?

FeckinCrutches · 08/12/2016 10:45

I cannot see why that would be odd or weird? Confused
Are you buying him a Christmas present?
