AIBU to think it's odd that DD's boyfriend got me a boyfriend?

Would you find it a bit uncomfortable?

They've been together for 8 months and are almost 16. It would be a bit different if they were older.

Well, you gave him a girlfriend, I guess it's only fair that he returns the favour and gives you a boyfriend! Very well-brought-up kid!

I think it's sweet, just get him a box of Ferrero Rocher or something.

That's really nice Lush stuff is lovely and not cheap. Thank him and give him a Christmas card.

WonderMike · 08/12/2016 11:58

Depends if you'd prefer a Lush gift set to a new boyfriend tbh Grin

Helpme9 · 08/12/2016 11:59

Bloody hell Grin

Do you think he got you a present because you're hard to get along with and he's trying to be extra nice? Because you seem hard to get along with. He's a kid and he did a nice thing. I think you should stick a bath bomb in and soak out some of your stress.

Actually it's probably very little to do with you and all about impressing your DD.

Ah bless him. I don't see the problem. I also think you should get him a little something for Christmas.

That's sweet he got you a present! How lovelyGrin.

On the other hand.. if he got you a boyfriend I'd be concerned!

Purplebluebird · 08/12/2016 12:27

Haha, this made me laugh out loud! Grin I think it's really sweet that he's got you a present. Definitely get him one too!

SpookyPotato · 08/12/2016 12:35

That's so sweet, weird that you find it weird...

8 months to teens that young is a very long time to be going out, you're practically his MIL!! Of course it's not odd he got you a present, it shows he's been brought up to be considerate and courteous. Maybe his mum picked it out for him, ooh maybe she'll pick you out a BF next time around! Do buy him a token Christmas gift, a t shirt maybe.
