Woke an hour ago, and still awake now.
4 year old ds wet his bed, so came in with us.
He has a cough, and is snuggled into my back, so everytime he coughs, his knees hit me.
Rather than getting stressed and panicked by the fact I have to be at the school early today to set up for the christmas fete, I've decided to just go with it.
So I'm mmetting, and listening to ds cough and dh snore.

Wish me luck!

Me too. DH woke me by making a real performance of getting out of bed for a wee at 3.30am. Properly bouncing on the bed, stomping across the room and slamming the door. He's now snoring away Hmm

CaptainCabinet · 03/12/2016 05:12

Feeding newborn DS who doesn't so much sleep between 2 and 6 am.

What shall we do?

CaptainCabinet · 03/12/2016 05:13

I'm hiding from the Xmas fete tomorrow. DH is taking this one.

WeedlesHatOfDisappointment · 03/12/2016 05:14

How old is ds? I also have a 3 month old ds, but he is behaving, luckily!

I do this most days thanks to DD, at worst its 3:30 starts - today I almost feel like I have had a lye in till 5.

I like it - it's the only time that's mine, I get up and have a coffee and read (or mumsnet)Grin

QueenofLouisiana · 03/12/2016 05:16

Me too. Alarm is going off at 6 so we get DS to a sporting competition by 8 (an hour or so on the car). I'm snuffling with cold so keep sneezing.
It was my school fair yesterday- was mad. My feet still ache!

QueenofLouisiana · 03/12/2016 05:18

Hmmmm- we may travel in the car for an hour. Travelling on it may get us arrested!

abigwideworld · 03/12/2016 05:18

Same here. 4 week old baby will only sleep on me, wakes up when I move him to his crib.

CaptainCabinet · 03/12/2016 05:19

DS is 6 weeks. Hoping We'll be sleeping better by 3 months.

Ok, we'll play would you rather.

Would you rather have a bad cold forever or be follower by 14 geese wherever you go forever?

CaptainCabinet · 03/12/2016 05:20

followed

DH has been ill since we came to bed at 11.30. Upset stomach from something he ate. Feel very sorry for the poor sod but he is a crap patient. Each time he gets up to go to bathroom, he bangs in and out. We're both now awake while he sips water and dabs his brow with a flannel. Disclaimer - I know it's rubbish when you're pukey.

WeedlesHatOfDisappointment · 03/12/2016 05:22

Lots of us tired today then! I'm going to have a huge cup of coffee when I do get up. Ds's coughing is disturbing the baby. I may need to bring him into the bed for sneaky cuddles..

I've been up since half 3 as have a horrible cough & 18 month old ds joined me just after 4. It's going to be a long day.

WeedlesHatOfDisappointment · 03/12/2016 05:24

14 geese. I'd rather feel well in myself!

Ok, would you rather have a dog that quacks or a duck that barks?

OP posts:
ThisIsNotARealAvo · 03/12/2016 05:25

Me too! I've been awake since 430 mumsnetting, stressing about ofsted and looking for Christmas party dresses in equal measure. I don't have a baby, ds aged 9 has just come in but I think I woke him up when I went to the loo.

CaptainCabinet · 03/12/2016 05:25

It's a good job the babies (big and small) are cute, isn't it!

TigerBreadAddict · 03/12/2016 05:27

Shall I get up And make the tea for us? Brew

DoubleCarrick · 03/12/2016 05:27

Dog that quacks. 35 weeks pregnant and just woke up for a wee. Regularly start my day at this time now and flake out at 2pm!!

CaptainCabinet · 03/12/2016 05:28

A duck that barks please!

Avo please can you send links to your shortlist of party dresses. (I'm going to have to reuse old ones this year and I love to shop vicariously)

SheilaTakeABow · 03/12/2016 05:28

18-month-old DS2 woke up yowling at 4.3am, so DH deposited him in our bed, where he's now snoring gently. Then my car alarm went off, then I needed a wee, and now I can't get back to sleep. I've so much to do today and really don't want to be doing it all with a tired, fuzzy headXmas Sad

DoubleCarrick · 03/12/2016 05:28

I'm well up for a cuppa! That'll be worth getting out of bed for!

SaoirseLikeInertia · 03/12/2016 05:29

My big baby DH has just said that when I moved it made him feel seasick Hmm I think I am going to leave him to it and head for the sofa

TigerBreadAddict · 03/12/2016 05:31

I'm going to make tea, bring it back to bed and slurp it loudly Grin

CaptainCabinet · 03/12/2016 05:33

Coffee please tiger

Ok would you rather live in the TARDIS or the octonaut HQ?
