AIBU To think that if dp has enough money to go to the pub they should have enough money to contribute to food and living expenses?

Beyond weird ...

Trifleorbust · 04/03/2017 13:02

The problem with AIBU is that the poster doesn't have disclose all of the pertinent information. If they are a particular type of arsehole, they can come away thinking they are the epitome of reasonableness (usually what they thought anyway), but only because they left out lots of contextual detail that would put a totally different slant on things to any reasonable person.

OnlyWantsOne · 04/03/2017 13:09

Oh cheers expat. We were friends on FB for a long while.

expatinscotland · 04/03/2017 13:17

Well, then I suggest you ditch your H because it seems he has form for being a total arsehole to you, under the guise of gender neutral 'dp' and lack of pronouns, and starts batshit threads about your relationship on the internet. Also report to HQ and get him banned from here.

expatinscotland · 04/03/2017 13:25

'I've seen it happen before, there's rarely only one side to the story.'

I've seen it happen before, too, and the ones where the OP is making a silly effort to be gender neutral (they, DP, etc) are ones that always make me raise my brows.

OnlyWantsOne · 04/03/2017 13:42

Expat - can they do that

greenthings · 04/03/2017 13:42

One reasons why I only respond to a few threads on AIBU. Some threads are clearly pointless, without context, so impossible to comment on. This is an example of one. Others are clearly "trolls" or sexual pervs, though MN often leave them on, perhaps because they are unsure ...

expatinscotland · 04/03/2017 14:19

Not sure but it's worth a go if he's been using it to spy on you.

OnlyWantsOne · 04/03/2017 17:34

It's not normal loving behaviour is it?

PoorYorick · 04/03/2017 18:17

Of course it isn't, it's stalkerish, weird, creepy and just not very bright. Though I guess it solves the 'show them this thread' dilemma we often get.

OnlyWantsOne · 04/03/2017 20:15

I hope he won't be looking at MN again and is concentrating on his own bloody life. Not my private musings.

Bleurghghghgh · 04/03/2017 22:02

How did you find the thread, Only?

OnlyWantsOne · 04/03/2017 22:03

Genuinely from reading AIBU threads.
The detail he's posted about my jobs, his profession and our kids etc is pretty specific.

Bleurghghghgh · 04/03/2017 22:08

Okay, I was just wondering as it's a relatively old thread.

What are you going to do now? x
