Childless cat worshiper...is this idea ridiculous?

My cat is my little baby girl. I keep seen lovely little pink pop up children's tents and thinking how cute it would be to put her a little bed in there. I just then think will it seem ridiculous to other people? You can be honest!

I don't see the harm as long as the cat is safe in it and wants to go in it. I bet if you got one she wouldn't go near it! Mine never go near the nice things we buy them! (Not a tent, though)

Yes, it might seem ridiculous to other people, but does that matter? Will your car use it? Ours prefers being off the floor.

She will likely ignore it and prefer the box it came in, your clean washing, or anything else inappropriate

Both our cats love my sons tent! They won't go in it together, usually one nabs it and the other hides under his duvet.

Surely the point isn't if it seems ridiculous to other people, but if it seems ridiculous to your cat, who may well give you a face. Why not make a den with a sheet over a clothes horse or a couple of chairs and put her bed in there. If she likes 'glamping' go ahead and buy it.

I got one in the Pound shop for my cat, I put a fluffy blanket in it for her, she loves it!

I used to be a childless cat lover (still have the fur baby, but also a human baby now) and that's exactly the sort of thing I'd do.

Be prepared for the cat to be completely unimpressed with it!

I have a pop up circus tent for the dog for when we go camping. He likes it and it always makes fellow campers smile.

He doesn't actually spend the night in it (I need him with me as my hairy hot water bottle) but he happily chills out in it during the evening.

I'd say go for it: your cat will be happy and so (hopefully) will you.

I'm not a pet person, so personally to me I think it's ridiculous. But you aren't doing any harm and it's your money so why not!

Who would even see it to say it's ridiculous? And If they do? So what? What happens if someone else thinks it's ridiculous? Absolutely nothing, that's what. Go for it.

My cat has one of these. You can also get a pink Cadillac version if pink is your thing. It's not ridiculous actually. Pets need environmental stimulation especially if left alone for long periods.

Ha, yes maddie - if she's anything like any cat I've ever had, she'll give it the most cursory once-over before going to her favourite spot on the back of the sofa like usual.

Thank so much for all your answers - yes, I'm sure she's give it disdainful stare and go out of her way to avoid it!!! LOL! At the moment she's curled up inside my sewing box - all sharp objects removed!! I think all things considered I will give it a go.
