They were trumps in our house but now that has been sullied due to Donald.

What can we call them?

Farts
Air biscuits (silent)
Stepped on a duck

A round of applause is given for a particularly musical one (minimum of two notes)

Thatznotmyname · 07/11/2016 19:10

My colleague and I "shoot bunnies!". Not that we do.... we're ladies! 😂😂😂

Missdread · 07/11/2016 19:10

Beavers

My DH used to call them "badgers" and when our kids were born, badger became beaver!

DailyFaily · 07/11/2016 19:11

Pumps - when I was a kid I wasn't allowed to use the word fart, it was considered rude. It's everywhere now though, on kids tv and in kids books, so I begrudgingly let my son use it, I don't like it though (I live in the North east, think it might be a regional thing to use pump instead of fart)

GunnyHighway · 07/11/2016 19:20

Keep shouting, we'll find you

YellowCrocus · 07/11/2016 19:23

TheNaze73 · 07/11/2016 19:32

Stepping on a duck
Floating an air biscuit

FurryLittleTwerp · 07/11/2016 19:40

Pops when I was growing up.

Wind or windy bottom when DS was little.

Farts or trumps these days.

FurryLittleTwerp · 07/11/2016 19:42

My brother also does things he called "Shape Farts" - a solid-feeling "lump" of gas that has you running to check for turds Grin

cuckoonest · 07/11/2016 19:42

I objected to 'fart' recently so MIL re-branded them as 'whiffies'. It seems to have stuck, apart from with toddler DS who tells me he has made a trumpet noise.

RoseGoldHippie · 07/11/2016 19:42

No idea why but hearing 'pops' and 'pop offs' makes my skin crawl!

Just keep calling then Trumps... quite appropriate really Grin

BratFarrarsPony · 07/11/2016 19:43

Fart is fart - never occurred to me to call them anything else

Cliffdiver · 07/11/2016 19:43

Blow offs

puglife15 · 07/11/2016 19:44

The fact that your refer to them as farts in your title tells you everything you need to know.

They should be called farts. That's their name.

Pump, trump, toot, pop (wtf?) are all way too ambiguous. Breaking wind is ok if you're being polite.

SovietKitsch · 07/11/2016 19:49

Parps in this house is the noun used, but DH will ask if "anyone has guffed" and the person doing the farting is called a trumpet trousers...I live a house full of farters clearly...
