I'm so angry.

Had an evening out to watch a free council run firework display at a local heritage park.

We arrived early but the place was already heaving, so we bought some burgers/hot dogs to kill some time and as we were all hungry.

Standing with dh and the 3 dc and all of a sudden something made us all jump, and I felt something hit my hand hard.

Youngest ds6's face is covered in egg yolk. Whoever lobbed it had run as they'd thrown it. Luckily it didn't break in his face as it hit my hand first, but he took the fall out.

Why would someone do this? Luckily ds is placid and didn't care once he'd been cleaned up (as best we could) but my middle ds was in tears, my eldest fuming wanting to hunt them down. Egg covered coats/clothes and my hand (despite me wearing gloves) is swollen and bruised as got me on the knuckle.

Complete scum bag, I hope they get their comeuppance.

Ah bless you op your hand looks really sore

It's all well and good people who have said they were just kids messing about etc we've all made mistakes , yes of course we have that doesn't mean we can't have an opinion on those who behave appallingly to others , some people really really just do not think or have any empathy towards others . I was a bit of a rebel in my youth but I never and could never hurt an innocent person for absolutely no reason . I was the sort that would bunk off from class to smoke but help an old lady across the road or return a lost purse . There a big differences to behaviour that affects you and behaviour that affects and hurts other people

Imagine if that had hit one of the Dc in the face instead of her hand taking the impact . Sad

I tell my DS not to throw stuff. Unless it's a ball and we're playing catch. Chucking anything at anyone is unreasonable behaviour. If my four year old son gets it, why shouldn't anyone else?

Idefix · 07/11/2016 16:53

Wow op that looks sore, dread to think about the impact had this hit your ds face.

I totally get your need to vent, it's the shock of it and the anger and fustration that comes with an event like this.

Never doubted you for a second OP. So glad that wasn't your DC's face.

You shouldn't need to justify why you came on here.

Hopefully the support outweighed the negativity, but sometimes always it's only the negativity we remember.

Don't feel you have to justify yourself to trollhunters, crystal.

I got egged once, sort of... walking home from the shops, a car drives past and as it does something hits my elbow and then splat-lands in the yard a few metres ahead of me. It was only when I walked over that I realised it was an egg... which had somehow bounced off my elbow, which was completely clean!
