To post a childish meme to display that I'm fucked off?

I am. I know I am... I'm mid thirties with kids and I'm pissed off my friend is having a big party with all our joint friends and didn't invite me & DH.

My DH doesn't care. Everything is like water off a ducks back to him... which kind of annoys me more.

I want to find some perfect 'didn't invite me to your party, well Fuck you' meme but a) I wouldn't know where to look, b) I'm not a teenager and c) I'm sure I would regret it.

But I still want to. I need to get over it don't I?! Blush

Why do you think you weren't invited?

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 02/11/2016 12:53

Absolutely no idea...

You could of course ask her.

Wrinklytights · 02/11/2016 12:54

Yes YWBU to post a PA meme, yanbu to be hurt. Why not just ask your friend if there is a reason you weren't invited and say you are hurt at being left out.

ilovesooty · 02/11/2016 12:55

Sorry wrinkly said it much better.

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 02/11/2016 12:55

I can't ask... I don't even think she knows I know about it. I accidentally found out because a mutual friend assumed I was going...

ilovesooty · 02/11/2016 12:56

In that case I think that's even more reason to ask.

destinywidow · 02/11/2016 12:58

Well I'm bored and I've found a few memes.

But

Do you think it was a mistake? Miscommunication or something and you might be invited? Ask your friend, nothing to lose either way.

mum2Bomg · 02/11/2016 12:59

Google 'Make your own meme' - then you can make the perfect one Smile

DoYouRememberJustinBobby · 02/11/2016 12:59

Oh God don't be that person.

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 02/11/2016 13:00

I don't think it was a mistake... she's seen me loads including this morning and has never mentioned a thing.

Just for fun.... can I see the memes?! Grin

I won't post anything, I'm just really annoyed. I'm mostly annoyed for my kids, who's friends will all be going to a big party and talking about it at school and my oldest will feel like shit. I hate it.

Hopefully it's just an oversight. Poor you though, horrible feeling!
Don't post a meme!
Here's one for you to not post.

ByeByeLilSebastian · 02/11/2016 13:06

Ooh I'd be tempted too op! Can you think of even the smallest reason you weren't invited?
I'd post the meme and then kick myself for being so childish, all whilst secretly loving how PA I'm being.

Seriously, just ask her!! There may have been a misunderstanding, or there might be something else going on, like your kids have fallen out or something. What's the worst that could happen?

HuskyLover1 · 02/11/2016 13:12

Ask her! It could have been lost in the post. You don't have to be horrible. Next time you're together, just say "I'm sorry to ask you this, but I'm a bit upset we didn't get a party invite, do you mind me asking why? I'm worried I've upset you". Then you'll get your answer.
