I am. I know I am... I'm mid thirties with kids and I'm pissed off my friend is having a big party with all our joint friends and didn't invite me & DH.

My DH doesn't care. Everything is like water off a ducks back to him... which kind of annoys me more.

I want to find some perfect 'didn't invite me to your party, well Fuck you' meme but a) I wouldn't know where to look, b) I'm not a teenager and c) I'm sure I would regret it.

But I still want to. I need to get over it don't I?! Blush

It hurts but try to put it out of your mind. Memes will not help! Some of the friends you meet through kids don't turn out to be lasting friends. Do you even enjoy parties that much? Why don't you and your partner and kids arrange to go and see old friends or relatives outside of that friendship group on that weekend. Might blow the cobwebs away and give you a new perspective. Will probably be more fun than the party too.

You've discovered the hard way that nothing good comes from such memes. I would definitely ask her as I hate being left out of things. I had a similar problem at the end of last year. I wasn't invited to a NYE party that I assumed I would be invited to. I asked why and it turned out that most of the group actually didn't like me and decided to ditch me once and for all. It was a great start to the year.

I came on here to say ask a mutual friend to ask why you weren't invited but I see you already chose the go postal option!! Did the message give any clues?

OP is there a friend attending that you can ask to say, all innocent like "I can't see OP here, is she coming?" The party giver will then tell her that you weren't invited and why
