I've just had an awful scare and I'm so frightened, need calming down. Just scrolling down Facebook and there's a Sun headline....Nuclear war could be imminent, troops sent near to Russian border. It's so so scary.

OP, try not to worry. NATO are deploying troops in Estonia and Poland to stop Putin waggling his willy over their borders. Polish friends' response is basically, "Meh, same old, same old." That may not be representative of everyone there, but they're remarkably unworried. And it's reassuring to think that NATO putting troops on the borders is much safer than Putin being allowed to trample over their countries unfettered.

I remember a few years ago, North Korea were firing/planning to fire missiles towards South Korea/Japan. South Korea's main headline on the day was:

The sun always scares me. Mostly through wondering what hold they have over our government to be able to print such complete and utter bollocks and get away with it.

I'm sorry but I absolutely despair of mankind. Why are men trying to destroy this planet? And it is men, not women but men. I think if there were no men, and only women, this would be a wonderful world. Why can't we all live in peace and harmony? There is no need for war. Obviously the frothing obscured things like atlases, world news, the existence of China, common sense...

Just to put this all in perspective. I actually stood on the White Cliffs and watched the Russian fleet sailing past. In front of it was a very sleek looking Royal Navy ship followed by a rusting hulk that has to sail the world with a tug in the flotilla in case the bugger breaks down.

The amount of smoke coming out of the thing I wasn't sure whether whether they were sailing or electing a new pope! If that's the best they have I'm not going to lose to much sleep.
