To want to hear something nice about MILs?

This isn't a TAAT, but inspired by a spate of recent threads with depressing attitudes from other posters, whose PILS aren't welcome even for an hour on Christmas Day, or to stay overnight just once for their DGC's birthday- what nice things have your PILs done?

We have DC1 on the way, and MIL kept all of DH's children's books from when he was little, plus added all the best new ones for us so that the baby will hopefully love books as much as I do.

I am sure I'm not the only one with a nice MIL, even if she is a bit bonkers sometimes!

My MIL is an amazing woman. I love her. She is in her eighties and is out and about every day organising charity lunches, fundraising, committee meetings etc. She has an MBE for her charity work. She is great to chat to, unfailingly kind and a wonderful grandmother. If my DD grows up to be like MIL, I will be over the moon.

My PILs are lovely.
Both have hearts of gold and would do anything for us.
Our PFB is due in January and I just know that they will make wonderful Grandparents :)

Mine was lovely too. A great mum and grandmother and she also very kind to my mum after my dad died.
