AIBU - Car on Drive

My first AIBU, I cannot believe it - and, guess what?? I have a strange car parked on my driveway! Didn't think it would ever happen to me..... but it has and, yes, it has really pissed me off!! Not only that, but there is gravel between my kitchen window and the driveway and the owner of the car has tried to park in my kitchen! Seriously, I could reach out of my window and touch it. I am now sitting at kitchen table, daring not to leave in case they come back and get it. Need advice on what to write on a note and how to stick it on...... There is plenty of car park space on road, they obviously were not going to my house and there is nothing around us they would want to leave the car and walk to, so why???? And tell me (nicely please) AIBU??

Do you have a friend or neighbour who could come and block them in with their car?

My neighbour, who really would, is not in this weekend - in fact her driveway is completely free, mine already has a car on it so why choose mine??? Thinking of phoning my son to bring his car down. Don't think my car alone would block it.

Is that not trespassing?

I'd take photos, license plate, make, model etc. Then I'd wait until they got back. Maybe block them in?

Depending on their response would depend on mine; daughter having a baby, lives down the road and you were in a hurry? Fine. Just being a dick? Threaten to call the police.

But then I've spent all week chasing cars from the entrance to my drive so I can actually use it (plenty of parking nearby but apparently they like that spot) so I may be a bit bitter....

Maybe you've won a car. Does it have a big red ribbon tied across the bonnet?

Block in and go out. Or block in and have an impromptu party so none of you can legally drive

What makes people think this is OK? It's so rude and I wouldn't dream of it

If your neighbour is on holiday maybe it is a friend of your neighbour who asked if they could park on their drive as obviously your neighbour won't be using it this week.... But they got the wrong drive! I have actually heard of this happening a few times before!

Are the doors locked? If not I'd sit in it, adjust the seats and mirrors to your fitting, if & when the owner comes back & asks what your doing just say admiring my new car!

If it's that close to your kitchen window/wall it won't have any room to manoeuvre out if you put your car directly behind right up to the dumper.

Then just stick a note to the window that says:

"What the Fuck?" With your phone number.

It's not just me, is it?? I wouldn't have the nerve.... Or I would at least ask in an emergency! And plenty of parking space on the road so just cannot see why?

Do you live near a sporting venue? My dh uses "park on my drive" (website where people rent out their drives) when he goes to Wembley etc. He is always paranoid that he has parked on the wrong driveway and will come back to be confronted by a very angry householder.

I cant believe people actually do this!! Find a relative/friend/anyone's car and block the fucker in!!!!

This happened to Dsis. She arrived home early from work as she was unwell and found a car on her drive. She parked across the front of it and went in. TWO HOURS later there was the inevitable knock on the door. The car owner was astonished that Dsis was annoyed as she had parked there every day for the last month without a problem! If Dsis hadn't come home ill that day, the woman would probably still be using the drive as a free parking spot.

I've written about this many times before, used to happen to me all the time in my old house in London

Nursery next door and one particular woman thought it was ok to park on my drive and actually block me in!

I'd love to have the balls in this situation to get some toothpaste and write "this is not an NCP" on the windscreen
