Hundreds of thousands of people were willing Condemn a innocent man. He was practically forced out of football. This is why we can't play jury from our sofas.

And I suggest you read all the facts of the case instead of picking on the ones that suit your anti men crusade.

If you're directing your comment to me, I'm not anti men. I'm anti rapist.

Boundaries · 14/10/2016 21:50

let it go? We have a legal system based on precedent. Like fuck should this be let go.

luckylavender · 14/10/2016 21:52

Baying mob indeed. Scary stuff. Poor innocent girl.

PortiaCastis · 14/10/2016 21:55

Anybody else on here been raped and kept quiet because of the repercussions

Boundaries · 14/10/2016 21:55

lucky when the first jury convicted him, did you believe them?

luckylavender · 14/10/2016 21:56

No I didn't

BeyondPolkadots · 14/10/2016 21:58

Yes Portia.

LucyBabs · 14/10/2016 21:59

Hahaha! Anti men crusade

Boundaries · 14/10/2016 22:00

Why lucky?

BoneyBackJefferson · 14/10/2016 22:01

lucky

At very best this "man" is someone that pays for a room, which he can take drunken women to, so that he can share them with his mates whilst he cheats on his partner.

This is not the sort of person that I want as a role model for children.

It doesn't make me bigoted or part of a mob.

StrawberryLime · 14/10/2016 22:02

I'm ashamed to say I'm ignorant when it comes to this case. Blush I haven't been following the news enough in regards to the case so don't know all the details.
From what I gather on this post, she was drunk, but he went ahead and did it anyway?
Is that the case? If not, please disregard everything I'm about to say.
You can be absolutely pissed out of your head and know not to do something if you really don't want to.
I've been absolutely hammered, falling on the floor, but if a guy comes onto you unwanted your head still pushes them away. Maybe belatedly as you're pissed, but it does kick in. You say "hey." Your head still knows, albeit fuzzily and a lot more slowly than if you were sober.
If he's carried on regardless if this is the situation then the onus on him is to stop. Know when to stop. From both sides. If this was the case he needs to recognise too, no means no.

luckylavender · 14/10/2016 22:03

Fair enough. No one said he was a Role Model though.

snakesalive · 14/10/2016 22:10

Every woman in England knows him for what he is....I dont even need to say the word...most men as well..he is and will always be.when he walks down the street ,if people arnt shouting it,they are thinking it.he put that woman though hell.and if there is a god...hell is where he will go when he dies

luckylavender · 14/10/2016 22:12

Except we don't all believe that to be true

PortiaCastis · 14/10/2016 22:12

Beyond This is terrible I'm wondering how many other women have kept quiet and now most women will. I really hope my dd never has to go through the courts because look what happens.

BeyondPolkadots · 14/10/2016 22:16

My situation had a lot of similarities with this one, so the verdict today is cutting rather close to the bone Hmm
Bastards.

Aquasport · 14/10/2016 22:19

Mob fucking justice?! Judge and jury first time, and this second time - and I'm assuming that you will want this verdict honoured.

snakesalive · 14/10/2016 22:19

That man should be tucked up nicely in prison today...the devil walks among us...and when his time comes at the pearly gates ,he will waved on his way somewhere very hot...

Memoires · 14/10/2016 22:19

You know when I was 15, a very innocent 15, I was raped but luckily a kind man rescued me and promised to drive me home; this man then took me to an area of wasteland and raped me and forced me to perform fellatio on him. Then he did indeed drive me home while telling me firmly that if I said a word no one would believe because he was a respected businessman and I was 'just a girl'. Around that time, there had been a case tried about a woman who had been raped, where her rapist got off because the judge said that wearing a short skirt meant she was asking for it.

This was 40 odd years ago.

My dd was born 17 years ago. I was so happy knowing that our society had moved so far away from a woman's clothing or sexual history would have any effect on a rape case. I was so relieved knowing that we were so much further advanced in our attitudes to women, that women were almost as free to conduct their lives how they wanted to as men were.

But in the space of a couple of years all that has gone. At 17, my daughter is no more free, no more safe than I was. Thanks to Ched Evans.

No. The disgusting little shrimp can fuck off and die. As soon as possible.

JellyBelli · 14/10/2016 22:20

The only mob justice is happening towards his victim on social media.

treaclesoda · 14/10/2016 22:20

I can't help thinking that if Ched and his mates had taken a very drunk male back to a hotel room and 'performed sex acts', as it would be described in a newspaper, on/with him when he was too drunk to consent that there would not be a single person who'd be saying it was all just a bit of poor judgement.

QueenieBob · 14/10/2016 22:20

OP - if this was a story about a man from an estate who went to a house and had sex with a woman too drunk to consent, it would take up a few lines in a local rag on the day he was convicted and jailed. Ched Evans is a dirty little scumbag who happened to be a bit good at kicking a ball around a pitch. If it wasn't for that minuscule ounce of talent he'd be seen for what he is. Now OP go and fuck off, then when you get there fuck off again and then fuck off until you fall off the face of the earth.

Boundaries · 14/10/2016 22:22

memoires that is shit. Utterly shit. Sad

PortiaCastis · 14/10/2016 22:23

It is very upsetting and brings back all the memories which I've tried to b!ot out.

Boundaries · 14/10/2016 22:25

I wonder how many women on here could say the same, Portia?
