Binge watching sex and the city thanks to a horrendous cold.

The jukes and mimi viewing between Miranda and Robert is hilariously cringeworthy but also v v funny...

jayy they're a right pair of mugs I reckon

MrsJayy · 18/10/2016 08:51

He was just saying stuff on Graham Norton on friday but none of it made sense

YouHadMeAtCake · 18/10/2016 13:44

I love these and have cringed my way through the entire thread!

I live watched that episode of The Big Breakfast with Paula Yates and Michael Hutchence. Even before she met him she had a photo of him on their fridge at home. It is awful to watch again, knowing what happened not so long after.

BabyGanoush · 18/10/2016 15:51

I feel embarrassed for Robbie Williams too

Not sure why

His smarmy catch style does not seem to date/age well

OhFuckOff · 18/10/2016 16:04

NOOOOOO not Abigail's party it is my all time favourite thing to watch! I'm 31 and first saw it when I was 14 and loved it (I was an odd teenager).

I remember that X factor audition with the two girls! Also the guy who auditioned doing an Eminem rap!

TheColonelAdoresPuffins · 18/10/2016 16:55

I like it too but it's supposed to be cringey and that's what people mean. Not a criticism.

OhFuckOff · 18/10/2016 16:58

I know that Grin and it is slightly, but it's brilliant

madamginger · 18/10/2016 17:16

gladysPeter Kay is an arse in real life. He used to live near me and he's really rude to the neighbours. He lived in a smallish village and shouted at the local kids on the park after school if they tried to talk to him, even if they were just saying hello, and these were the classmates of his children Shock

EverySongbirdSays · 18/10/2016 17:41

I've heard endless stories about how awful Peter Kay is to deal with in any capacity. Never heard a good word about him, put me right off.

YvaineStormhold · 18/10/2016 17:46

Do we think Chris and Dawn realised how unfortunate it was to have D&C in six foot high illuminated letters at their wedding?

Apparently not...

MothersGrim · 18/10/2016 17:47

Oh I like Dawn and Chris.

Be nice!

YvaineStormhold · 18/10/2016 17:51

But still...D & C?

Couldn't they have just swapped them round for a less gynaelogical effect? Grin

Ilovetorrentialrain · 18/10/2016 17:59

Impressionists make me cringe so I'll say any Catherine Tate or similar. I just can't handle it.

TheColonelAdoresPuffins · 18/10/2016 18:16

Yes it is. And Nuts in May too

DramaInPyjamas · 18/10/2016 20:49

Impressionists! Cringe! Especially when they are on chatshows/panel quizzes and just spontaneously start doing their impressions out of nowhere

DramaInPyjamas · 18/10/2016 20:53

Also I'm not sure if he is meant to be cringey on purpose but Harry Hill.
I used to find some bits on TV burp amusing when my ex had it on,
but DC were watching old clips on YouTube and it was painfully unfunny,

or maybe my sense of humour has changed since getting rid of exH!

dylsmimi · 19/10/2016 05:44

Leon from goggle box make me cringe - he's so leechy and I hate how he makes comments and peers forward and says 'ohh yes June' urghh

ZoeTurtle · 19/10/2016 08:34

Ilovetorrentialrain and DramaInPyjamas Yessss! I've found my people. I always rant about this whenever an impressionist is on Pointless or similar. Singers don't randomly burst into song and actors don't randomly start acting. Why do impressionists do it?!

Speaking of Pointless... I know somebody said it earlier in the thread, and I agree that Richard and Alexander's conversation is SO awkward. It's hard to watch.

user1475253854 · 19/10/2016 10:17

zoe I wouldn't recommend you watch the Celebrity Impressionists episode of Pointless then Grin

Though to be fair they were mostly ok. It was actually the 2 that were famous from BGT that were the worst and I think all the others cringed on their behalf.

JoffreyBaratheon · 19/10/2016 10:23

Talking of Leon (I love Leon from Gogglebox!) how about the jumper folder, Scottish Leon from X Factor? When they do retrospectives about old winners, they even leave him out entirely, sometimes (when even Steve Brookstein gets a mention, and gods know he's slagged off the show enough).

This Leon was so shaky and nervous that every week I was stunned he survived. And if watching him in the final wasn't uncomfortable enough, seeing him when he came back on the 'triumphal' performance the following year - was one of the most nerve-wracking things I have ever seen on TV. He looked about to shit himself, poor thing. Assume he's back folding jumpers and happy with that, now. He was rabbit in headlights, on the stage, that's for sure.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 19/10/2016 13:20

Is Leon the guy who beat Rhydian??

JoffreyBaratheon · 19/10/2016 13:41

Yes. That result was totally unaccountable...

toastytoastbear · 20/10/2016 21:03

www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/sam-faiers-just-confess-tv-9083583

this made me turn myself inside out. Sam Faiers discussing co sleeping; producer asks her about sex. Massive cringe

KanyePest · 21/10/2016 03:49

So.... here in New Zealand we have our own version of the Real Housewives reality show. It's called Real Housewives of Auckland. There's been only 1 season, and literally every episode is an hour-long awkward moment. The absolute worst one was when, around halfway through the season, the cast went on holiday to Australia together. And this happened.

LadyCassandra · 21/10/2016 06:28

These are all brilliant!
Does anyone remember Mariah Carey during Live8? "can I get some waaaater?" It was so cringeworthy. I remember Vernon Kay taking the piss the next morning on Radio1
