Binge watching sex and the city thanks to a horrendous cold.

The jukes and mimi viewing between Miranda and Robert is hilariously cringeworthy but also v v funny...

YNK - I believe that lady later committed suicide.

She was an alcoholic and I remember that episode well. It was very cringeworthy...

IDismyname · 14/10/2016 07:12

I've just seen a clip of the escaped gorilla for London zoo, while the presenters of BBC Breakfast were simultaneously waffling on about Nicola Sturgeon. It took them about 5 or 6 seconds to sort it.
Priceless!

MetallicBeige · 14/10/2016 07:59

John Prescott and the other members of the Labour Party dancing to DReam -Things Can Only Get Better.

Still can't hear the song without it inducing a mini cringe.

MothersGrim · 14/10/2016 08:01

Shock David Cassidy!

Oh my god!!!
I had no idea!
I will ask MN to remove the post!

The few times I've watched The One Show I've been ashamed on behalf of that Alex Jones, who sits there with her mouth hanging open, having to have everything slowly and minutely explained to her, and you're scared someone's going to ask her to walk and talk at the same time... Too stressful to watch.

myusernamewastaken · 14/10/2016 08:49

This is excruciating...

A couple of people mentioned that Meg Ryan/Michael Parkinson interview - actually I don't have any sympathy for him at all, he was the one who came across as rude and combative; she answered his questions gamely enough until she lost her temper with his relentless needling. So what if she wasn't on tip top form - people are allowed to have off days.

I don't like him anyway, he's a pompous oaf.

Smidgenpigeon · 14/10/2016 09:25

Parkinson is a pompous, misogynistic oaf.

He clearly disapproved of the film, which showed the dark side of female sexuality.

Mind you, Meg R was prickly and rude...

FindoGask · 14/10/2016 09:36

Prickly, maybe, but I don't think she was at all rude - she seemed increasingly uncomfortable from the start. Instead of putting her at her ease, as a different interviewer might, Parkinson interrogates her, mocking her answers and somehow investing every question with a sneer. I thought she was remarkably composed, considering.

He always bangs on about that interview, making out she behaved dreadfully and he came across like a beacon of righteousness. It's like he doesn't realise anyone can look on youtube and see what actually happened.

myusernamewastaken · 14/10/2016 09:43

Can anyone find a clip of Lynda Bellingham slipping over on Hells Kitchen

PowerPantsRule · 14/10/2016 09:45

I work from home and this thread has cost me an hour and a half and was totally worth it. Should be in Classics.

How about Johnny Rotten telling the Australian female interviewer repeatedly to 'shut up' and that when a man is speaking, a woman should not interrupt Angry

Smidgenpigeon · 14/10/2016 09:47

He did patronise her, that's for sure

user1475253854 · 14/10/2016 09:51

I agree, parky is a dick. He did a really horrible interview with billie piper and was really insensitive about her eating disorder. I think she was anorexic and I'm sure at one point he was like "well did you not get hungry?!" Hmm Confused

LurkingHusband · 14/10/2016 09:54

How on earth can this thread have got to 363 posts, and not one mention of Eldorado

Is Mumsnet broken ? Grin

Shiningexample · 14/10/2016 10:00

I'm also 😱 @ David Cassidy

Mozfan1 · 14/10/2016 10:08

There was an elderly lady on Jeremy Kyle on there over a dispute with her neighbours and she kept referring to Jeremy as 'Germany' in her Scottish accent. I can't find the video though gutted

I can't see what's so bad about that Meg Ryan interview really. Michael Parkinson was pushing her to answer when she was clearly uncomfortable with the subject, but I really can't see why he would be in any way unhappy. She was lovely.

Aquasport · 14/10/2016 10:14

Can't believe I had forgotten this gem

I'm glad you mentioned 'Triangle'. Remembers Kate O'Mara wearing a bikini to sunbathe while trying hard not to look freezing.

TaterTots · 14/10/2016 10:32

I know I'd want to go topless on the North Sea ferry!

Maudlinmaud · 14/10/2016 15:52

Oh my god Michelle Heaton the numpty!
So bad!

SnakeWitch · 14/10/2016 18:21

Did anyone watch The Big Reunion a couple of years ago? Michelle Heaton fell over going onto the stage then, too. I felt awful for her. She should wear trainers all the time!

PinkyOfPie · 14/10/2016 22:36

I'm pleased ther people have stuck up for Meg Ryan, Parkinson is a vile oaf and was making her uncomfortable, I like that she didn't smile sweetly and tolerate it.

Speaking of Michelle Heaton, remember in Big Brother when Tina Malone was in fancy dress and Michelle told her she looked like Fiona from shrek Shock then tried to backtrack by saying "oh I didn't mean the ogre version" Grin yeah right!
