To think that black is the only colour for a car?

Apart from cute little Fiats or whatever, which can carry pink, lime green etc quite happily...
But a grown up car: can it be a colour that's not black? Or maybe, at a pinch, very dark metallic grey?
And if it's black outside, does it have to be black inside as well?
Obviously I use the term 'has to' loosely and not in a sense that everyone will be willing to recognise. But basically, if you were buying a car, and had some input as to colour, would you go for anything that wasn't black?

But what colour is your car user?

And I heard the opposite about red cars re: accidents, in that they were more likely to be involved.

I don't think you can draw conclusions from that. It probably has more to do with what kind of person buys a car of a particular colour or the type of person who buys a car of a certain colour than any colour being inherently dangerous. 17 year old boys with pretensions of being the Michael Schumacher of suburbia won't rush out and buy a car in pastel pink. Likewise you don't see many GTis painted in biddy beige.

I always had either white, black or red cars until my current car.

Volcanic Orange with black stripes.

Ha ha

Every accident in my family has involved a white car.

Well if you will drive that wedding limo so recklessly questionably

Black car = hearse
Silver car = fog
White car= Dennis Waterman

I have a yellow car with a retractable roof and the speakers change colour and it's fun. We need fun.

Mine is silver as was my previous one. It's a good car for hiding the dirt. My DM refused to buy a black car once on the grounds that's "black cars are drug dealer cars".

I don't think about it too much. We have a little Fiat in silver and a black grown up Toyota family/farm car which is always dirty.

I don't agree about bright coloured cars. My sil got a bright yellow pick-up like this one. Everyone knew where she was at all times and both she and the rest of the town got sick of the sight of it. She now drives a black Golf.

I drive a car that is neither black nor silver/grey. It is over 30 years old. The shame is unbearable. Confused

Anything as long as it's not beige. Really dull.
But I quite like that new eye-popping metallic red othat Renault is doing on the weird-looking Captur.

I love my orange car. So easy to pick out in a big car park. I'm notorious for forgetting where I park.

I heard green was the worst colour for accidents as it blurs in with hedges etc...but that could just be to do with location I guess?

I'd go for anything that wasn't black. Black is a terrible colour for a car. I have a black car. Never again.

Cars should be dark blue with tan leather interior.

I ❤️My black car, it's been my first brand new car so the first I've been able to actively choose the colour. It's metallic black, It has a black interior and the exterior is completely black, right down to the grille.
And it's an Audi, so 😝To the Audi haters 😂

I don't find it too bad for looking clean, maybe because it's metallic?

Mine's orange, I really like it and I can always see it in a car park.

We had a black car which someone drove in to (in daylight, they pulled out of a side road in to me :S ) - our new car is blue and we haven't yet been hit, therefore I can only conclude black is a dangerous colour for a car.
In all seriousness, you are likely to be less visible though.

I just picked up my new car. It is a gunmetal grey nissan Qashqai with a black leather interior.

I felt it was a classic colour inside and out and is a very grown up car so needs a grown up colour.
