If you grew up on a council estate or spent any time living there, you cannot be middle class
Why not?
Class is not the same as money.
Council estates used to be much more aimed at low income working families rather than a centre of deprivation.
Many manual workers would earn similar or higher wages than nurses and teachers, so you could equally all sorts of people to live there.
Does it make a difference if the person buys an ex council house rather than rents it?
