To cut my husband's ****edited by MNHQ**** with blunt scissors?

So my husband works shifts and this week it is his early shift - he is gone from the house by 5am. I came down this morning to find he had left his iPhone on the worktop. As I was making breakfast for DC's I pressed the home button on his phone to check the time and saw an unread message from my best friend of 27 years saying "is she in bed yet?".

Now, it's my birthday next week so I thought they were arranging some special surprise for me. So left it as that. Dropped the kids off at school but something was niggling at me, I just had this feeling in my gut. His iPhone has got a passcode which I don't know. On my third attempt, by pure and utter luck, I managed to guess it right and get into his phone. What I have seen has made me sick to my stomach. My "friend" has been sending my husband dirty naked pics of herself - full on legs spread and sex toys involved. There are no replies or conversation from him but then I guess these can be deleted??? I noticed he's saved the pictures to his camera roll also - presumably for quick access. I have no idea if they have met - I can't think straight at the moment it feels like everything is in slow motion

My husband NEVER leaves his phone at home so I suspect this was a mistake. I've currently packed all his bags and I am just about to post the pictures of my "friend" on Facebook with a tag saying "you are welcome to him"

I don't know what to do

I like how the vagina Judas''s husband is getting the blame by some people Hmm

Is it because he has a cock?

RortyCrankle · 28/09/2016 15:48

How utterly diabolical they both are, I am so sorry OP. I don't think the husband send the I'm sorry message, I think the woman intercepted the OP's message to her husband and sent that.

Personally I would hang him up by his balls until they drop off but whatever you do OP, I hope you can stay strong enough to deal with these two arseholes. If you can't, fake it so they only see you as the formidably strong woman you undoubtably are.

I wish you all the very best Flowers

DerekSprechenZeDick · 28/09/2016 15:48

Onion yes. It appears so

scarednoob · 28/09/2016 15:49

YANBU to want to do it.

YABU to use blunt scissors. this douche needs a "misery" style penis amputation.

she sounds fucked up and he sounds desperate. you will be much better off without either of them in your life long term. just really sorry the short term will be shit.

rainbowstardrops · 28/09/2016 15:49

Bloody hell.
If she was your best friend, has she ever let on that she goes after married men?
I'd be cutting his dick off with a rusty penknife.

OnionKnight · 28/09/2016 15:49

Well I shouldn't be surprised really Derek, this is Mumsnet after all.

MiddleClassProblem · 28/09/2016 15:51

Poor bloke has just done what he felt he had to to keep his family together or put his head in the sand to not let his world change.

I also wonder if she knows he knows, I guess it's likely.

venusinscorpio · 28/09/2016 15:51

Yumamumma, his reply which the OP found "we should stop this but you're handing it to me on a plate" doesn't sound very innocent to me. Fairly contemptuous, yes. But not like he has no part in it. Anyone who didn't want the pictures to be sent would say it a little more directly I think!

SarcasmMode · 28/09/2016 15:51

I don't think anyone is blaming the DH of XF just that it's hurtful he didn't tell the OP.

He could've told her without it affecting his children.

His duty is to his children and its him, OP and any children my sympathy lies with.

Not the OPs P as at best he's easily led/head turned at worst having an affair.

DerekSprechenZeDick · 28/09/2016 15:51

VJ's husband probably thought he wouldn't believed. He is probably relieved in a sense that it's out.

See where the story goes next anyway...

RJnomore1 · 28/09/2016 15:52

What a car crash.

RJnomore1 · 28/09/2016 15:52

Sorry that wasn't very helpful. I just can't think what to say that might be.

EdmundCleverClogs · 28/09/2016 15:53

Perhaps we shouldn't derail this thread over supposed 'man-hating'? Yes the other husband is a victim as well, but he should have told the op. It would still have hurt like hell, but at least she would have had one person she could trust in all this. It's not about gender, it's about dishonesty.

SnugglySnerd · 28/09/2016 15:54

That's awful. What a terrible shock, assume he still hasn't returned home m?

SarcasmMode · 28/09/2016 15:54

Very true Derek I guess it depends on OP and the DHs friendship as to whether he would tell her.

Either way, I'm sure he's glad that he's not the only one holding the secret.

I bet that's fucked up his self esteem.

It is total man hate because of it was a woman who had known but kept shut as she wanted to protect the kids she'd have been given sympathy and not called a prick.

MiddleClassProblem · 28/09/2016 15:56

Do you have any family you can talk to?

You might be best if you just figure out how to handle this when the kids are home (unless they are and are little ones). If school age, he might be waiting so that you are less likely to kick off when they are there.

Better still, so you have any family or their friends' parents you trust that could take them?

venusinscorpio · 28/09/2016 15:56

The other husband was under no responsibility to tell anyone anything if he wanted to make it work with his wife and do the best thing for his children as he saw it. He is a victim too. He's allowed to work it out in his own way. It's not his fault the OP's best friend and husband have chosen to betray her.

Same, Ginkypig, I really hope he has come home, so you can get some answers from him. I doubt anything can be salvaged even if he is very remorseful but you deserve to know the facts, like how long, why etc...although he is unlikely to tell the truth it may help the healing process.

SarcasmMode · 28/09/2016 15:58

TBF Derek I would not call her a prick but would also feel she was insensitive not to tell the DH of the woman.
