AIBU?

...to ask what your "ideal" weight is?

If you're 5ft 5 or 5ft 6ins?

I'm 5ft 5.5 (the half is important to me!!) and have been losing weight since the birth of DC2 seven months ago, in a bid to get back to normal. Thing is, I can't decide where to stop.

I hit my goal weight recently but I don't feel like I'm "done." I still have excess fat on my tummy and legs, but don't know if I'm normal, a bit chubby or over critical.

So, what is your ideal weight if you're the same height as me? Where do you feel happiest?

FWIW, I'm average build, size 7 feet, big boobs, and pretty active.

I'm 5'6. 9st7 is my ideal weight but I look ok between 9 and 10. Below that I look a bit scrawny, above that a bit chubby. I'm currently 9st13 and just turned 40. Its much harder to keep the weight down now.

I'm 5'4 and a half (it really is important eh!?) I have been everything from 7 and a half stone 10 years ago to 15 stone 2 years ago.
4 months ago i was 9" 7 and felt great but snuck up to 10 and a half over the school holidays and felt uncomfortable so back on track two weeks ago and now 10 bang on. I'd love to lose another stone but I look like shite under 9 and a half.

5ft 6" and 8st 3.

I gained almost three stone with both pregnancies but after six months it dropped back to 8 3. I'm active, anxious and eat fairly healthy. I'm a size 10 though, not a tiny 8 or 6.

Just goes to show how different everyone is. I'm 5'6" and have been everything from 9st 3lbs to 18st.

My absolute favourite weight was between 11st and 12.7st.

I'm a 12-14 at those weights and that's what I would choose to be.

I am about 5 foot and about 10 stone and I feel a little overweight, I look considerably better about half a stone lighter but to lose that half a stone I have to eat a lot less and I never stay with it as I eat relatively healthily now and exercise regularly but I am too active with my general day to day to be able to sustain myself on a lot less food- I end up with horrible headaches and feel weak and grumpy

Im 5'6", ideal weight is 8 1/2 - 9 stone.

To be honest I rarely weigh myself as I do a lot of running (muscly) and have a curvy bottom and 32DD boobs.

I panic when my size 8 trousers feel tight!

Feeling huge now.
Similar height to you. Currently over 12 stone. Look best at around 10.7 I think but happy with anything under 11. I dream of seeing a 9 at the front of the scales but never ever have.

I am 5'5" and I am currently 9st 10 and a size 8-10. I'm usually more like 9st 7lb but slightly heavier at the moment. Perfect weight is 8st 10-9st but I have to diet to get there, and life is too short!

Ok a lot shorter, 5'3" I think (not sure, I use metric) and I know my healthiest weight is 55kg but with my skinny frame I look better at 50kg (any weight over that just shows in my belly)

I'm 5 ft 5 and 8 stone. Happy with that, but I'm sure I would look ok up to 3 or 4 pounds lighter too. I certainly don't look too thin.

I'm 5'4".
8st 3lbs (or 52kg) which was my weight at my booking appointment for this pregnancy is what I'm aiming to get back to - I'm 34 weeks now and according to my bathroom scales, I've gained about a stone and a half so far. This is my second pregnancy within 18 months, so I think the weight I've gained this time will require a bit more effort to shift than it did last time. I'm in no hurry though!

5ft 7' and best weight for me is around 9st 7lb. I'm usually about 9st 3lb and look scrawny if I'm any less than this. Bit heavier just now (10st) and had to buy new clothes until I get back to my usual weight. (just lost my dog Sad so not walking as much as I used to).

I'm 5'5 and since I was 18 ( I'm now 38) my weight always fluctuates just slightly around 9 stone. It's definitely my ideal weight. After having DS1 it got back to that after about 8 months without me doing too much. I'm pregnant again now. (I'm size 6 feet and slim boned).

im 5 foot 5 and 11 and a half stone. Its taken me 3 years to lose 4 stone. I originally lost 10 stone going from 21 stone to 11 stone in 2002 to 2004.

Its taken me three years to lose a 4 stone regain Its been really slow.

This is why im trying to avoid going to the doctor Ive found a lump. I dont want to be given medication that could cause weight gain. Ive worked very hard. Especially as they are always moaning about obesity.

It's a varying scale for me. I was happy at 9 stone 3 and a size 10 but I was 21 years old!

Nowadays I'm fairly happy with anything up to 11 stone. I'm probably deluded but think I look alright - I'm fairly hourglass so still have a waist.

LBOCS2 · 25/09/2016 21:07

I'm 5'6", and my ideal weight is between 10-11st - I'm all bum and boobs, and at that weight I'm a comfortable size 10-12.

I weigh considerably more than that at the moment.

I'm taller but my ideal BMI is 21.2. I run and go o the gym 5 days a week.
