To think that scholarships for women shouldn't be open to men?

So, scholarship to support women in STEM - a massive issue for all societies that we're not harnessing th talents of half our populations in this area.

But if you "identify as a woman in a way that's meaningful to you" you can apply.

What the ever loving fuck?

Another example of the damage being done to actual women, by saying that "woman" is a feeling in a man's head.

Actually I don't know that's just what I assumed from the style of posting. The 'aren't you lucky I'm here to talk sense into you' kind of approach. I just think we probably weren't grateful enough.

CharlieSierra · 29/09/2016 17:38

Oh my, and he's actually been stalking you too WW what a creep!

LineyReborn · 29/09/2016 17:40

MNHQ don't approve of creepy stalking.

fakenamefornow · 29/09/2016 17:48

Did mn ever come back with their position on all this?

LineyReborn · 29/09/2016 18:07

Last I saw they (MN) were trying to adopt a live and let live approach and trying to apply the guidelines e.g. no personal attacks, but it's not working because we now have posters claiming they feel personally attacked when no attack was intended nor is one evident.

CharlieSierra · 29/09/2016 18:15

Are they deleting on that basis though Liney? I did report a few on a thread I started last week who were actually calling me names and those went, but I'm not seeing loads of deletions.

LineyReborn · 29/09/2016 18:24

Actually I'm not sure - there don't seem to be quite so many deletions any more and there's more sense to the debates as a result.

WankingMonkey · 29/09/2016 18:38

From what I have seen, only actual personal attacks have been deleted. People being offended by others opinions have been left..as they should be. I feel a bit sorry for MNHQ as the sheer amount of people who pop on, yell 'transphobes' then leave will surely also report the thread. So they are getting a bunch of nonsensical reports.

venusinscorpio · 29/09/2016 18:42

As someone else said earlier, surely if they felt a discussion was transphobic they'd put a little more effort into their posts?

Twunk · 29/09/2016 18:49

Yeah I know it was directed at you WW - just an odd position for Ice to take in order to "win" an argument. But I can see you're hardly devasted Wink

I've noticed far fewer deletions, which is good.

Twunk · 29/09/2016 18:53

I am still determined to get my explanation of feeling like a woman (ignoring Shania fucking Twain). "Reacting to things like a woman" is just such a farcical answer and, as usual, resorting to tired, sexist stereotypes.

Elendon · 29/09/2016 19:31

WW, 'I think therefore I am'. Is my only explanation to what a woman is.

And I don't care two hoots that a man supposedly made this up (though I very much doubt it).

Because, history tells us that it was the freedom of him that led to the freedom of her.

But herstory tells us different.

IBelieveTheEarthIsFlat · 29/09/2016 20:42

What is anti-vax?

Bambambini · 29/09/2016 21:03

Just looked at the Arrse forums to see what our serving and ex serving armed forces thought about Chloe.

A bit mixed actually. Not many against Chloe in a nasty way -,just being gender critical and some bring rather eloquent andcwell informed. A few Germaine Greer fans as well.

WinchesterWoman · 29/09/2016 22:13

Yes am fine twunk and no, not crying into my cocoa.Smile believe, anti-vax is anti vaccination (it's meant to be insulting)
