A drop of Nelsons blood wouldnt do us any harm
This is thread 15 so no need for alarm
Those lifeboats and guards save us from the sea
We should all thank them as we drink our cup of tea
While they're out there volunteering looking out for you and me

Better I can do both, but I'm not as patient with knitting, so I stick to crocheting.

RedWearsPrettyShoes · 10/09/2016 22:52

Blue your house will be filled with bags of wool.

Bettercallsaul1 · 10/09/2016 22:53

Is there only one stitch in crochet, Red? Or lots as in knitting?

jetSTAR · 10/09/2016 22:53

This dress maybe?

I've started doing a stripy giraffe this evening. May have it finished by tomorrow night.

jetSTAR · 10/09/2016 22:55

I can crochet but not knit. Two sticks is too many Shock

Bettercallsaul1 · 10/09/2016 22:55

It's lovely how knitting and crochet have come back into fashion - they were in danger of becoming forgotten arts.

PortiaCastis · 10/09/2016 22:57

I can do knitting but can't crochet or sew. Gran can knit while watching the world at war which she of course won on her own

Can someone PM me with what was occurring just now please?

RedWearsPrettyShoes · 10/09/2016 22:59

Better there are a few stitches, but they're all really simple. Most patterns just use chains, doubles and trebles. The zebra I did the other day and the dog I did today just used chains and doubles. It's actually really easy to follow crochet patterns.

RedWearsPrettyShoes · 10/09/2016 22:59

Jet that dress is amazing!!!!

jetSTAR · 10/09/2016 23:01

Another dress

Portia I can sew too, but I've got to be in the mood. When I was pregnant with DS2 I made several baby carriers on a really old singer sewing machine.

PortiaCastis · 10/09/2016 23:02

Now you cant beat this dress

jet I think most of us are confused about what happened. I think something happened elsewhere and encroached on here. But no idea what it was tbh.

RedWearsPrettyShoes · 10/09/2016 23:04

Portia
Words fail me.

PortiaCastis · 10/09/2016 23:05

Red Gran still has a treadle sewing machine which works. Probably worth something?

PrettyBlueDressForTheXmasBall · 10/09/2016 23:05

portia not the pic with horses in funeral harness again!!!

VanillaSugarandChristmasSpice · 10/09/2016 23:07

Ah great - 38%.

I can vaguely sew but I can't crochet at all.

PortiaCastis · 10/09/2016 23:07

Ha don't look at the harness look at the dress it's very fetching

I must go to bed. Early morning tomorrow. Night all.

Bettercallsaul1 · 10/09/2016 23:08

jet I used to have a black dress, almost identical to that first one! You've brought back memories...!

RedWearsPrettyShoes · 10/09/2016 23:09

Portia mine is 114 years old. A few years back I phoned the singer museum and they said the wooden box was probably worth more than the machine itself. Mine is a hand sewing machine, I imagine a treadle machine would be worth more than a hand machine.

PrettyBlueDressForTheXmasBall · 10/09/2016 23:09

But portia its a funeral harness and she's in a wedding dress. It just distracts me from the dress.

RedWearsPrettyShoes · 10/09/2016 23:10

Night Blue.
