I hate this month so much.. nothing to look forward to apart from cold, long nights, endless work and at least 8 months till sunshine.. oh woe is me, woe is ME!

OP posts:
SaucyJack · 07/09/2016 21:37

Winter isn't coming any time soon. More's the pity. I hate this heat.

SaucyJack · 07/09/2016 21:38

I hate the cold too tho.

SaucyJack · 07/09/2016 21:38

I hate most things.

thedishonthecoffeetable · 07/09/2016 21:41

September means it's spider season Shock

ilovesooty · 07/09/2016 21:41

September's ok as long as it's good enough weather to be an extension of summer. October, November and December can do one though.

TheBriscoesLady · 07/09/2016 22:46

I love September as it means Christmas is coming.

However, I had to chase a spider the size of a kitten around my bedroom floor at 11.30pm last night and it was impervious to the super strength fly spray I was using to try and kill it. I did not love that.

wowfudge · 07/09/2016 22:47

At least is not as miserable as February.

SabineUndine · 07/09/2016 22:49

I don't like it. The year is turning and you have to watch it die.

FunnysInLaJardin · 07/09/2016 22:50

Take vitamin D folks, then you will love every season Grin

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 07/09/2016 22:53

YABU! This is the best part of the whole year IMO. Cooler temps = snugly scarves, open fires, rosy cheeks and hot tomato soup with crusty bread.

Also, it's mine and DHs birthdays, then Halloween, then fireworks / bonfire night, and then the countdown to Christmas begins! Big BIG lover of Autumn here.

mrspitt · 07/09/2016 22:58

Your September is my February..I really don't mind this month!

BeastofCraggyIsland · 07/09/2016 23:03

I like September itself but I hate that it means that summer is over and winter is coming. Apart from Christmas I utterly detest winter. I hate the endless cold, dark, grey, rainy, muddy days. I live for spring and summer and long, light, sunny days, so although September and Autumn can be lovely, it makes me sad because of what's to come!

Sierra259 · 07/09/2016 23:05

YABU! September is a beautiful month. Still warm, lovely autumn leaves, not too dark in the evenings, Christmas round the corner. A million times better than January and February.

Ivydalegirl · 07/09/2016 23:06

September has always been my favourite month, lovely bright days and cool nights. I have come up north for a few days break, gagging for some cooler weather, and its so so hot still. Roll on winter.

ilovesooty · 07/09/2016 23:08

At least by the time you get to January and February the nights are getting lighter and the clocks going forward again is on the horizon.

x2boys · 07/09/2016 23:10

Its roasting here in bolton feels like july right nowConfused

ilovesooty · 07/09/2016 23:13

In fact with every passing year I actually find the prospect of winter increasingly difficult to cope with and I don't know what the answer is. Sad

MrsMook · 07/09/2016 23:14

September's fine. The autumn colour comes back into the gardens after the dull late summer lull. There's still decent weather which feels like a nice bonus rather than an expectation. The pleasant bits of autumn still lie ahead keeping the winter gloom at bay.

November and January can fuck off to the far side of fuck and then fuck off some more. December, I'd keep for a brief stint of cosy long evenings before it gets too tedious. By February there is hope that winter won't be gatecrashing forever with lengthening days and early spring bulbs. It's a long enough winter for the off chance of a decent dump of snow.

August is a bit of an odd lingerer, although the weather was better than most this year.

Chickydoo · 07/09/2016 23:16

Op
I'm not keen either
Roll on Easter

PovertyPain · 07/09/2016 23:22

It's a very romantic month if you're a horny spider

Just think OP, at this moment all the mr spiders and mrs spiders are making sweet love in your house so they can have millions of ickle babies. Doesn't that make you feel warn and cosy?

sonlypuppyfat · 07/09/2016 23:25

Hate the summer sweating like a pig, wet hair red face ugh it can Fuck right off

BathshuaSpooner · 07/09/2016 23:28

I love September. It's fucking March, I can't abide..endless grey days..one long month of fuck off.

ilovesooty · 07/09/2016 23:29

Yes - roll on Easter. I wish we could just hibernate until winter has passed.

SerenDippitee · 07/09/2016 23:36

I love September. 1 September is my New Year's Day and I love the French tradition of la rentrée, when everybody (not just school kids) has been off for August and it's time to go back to reality.

January and February are grim, however. Nothing to look forward to until spring comes. I'd happily press fast forward on January - March every year.

BeastofCraggyIsland · 07/09/2016 23:47

ilovesooty I'm the same re. the winter. The only solution I can think of is to win the lottery and spend April- September here and October-March travelling around anywhere and everywhere hot and sunny. I usually go skiing in January and book a longer long-haul trip for February/March just to give me something to look forward to. It's the only thing that gets me through the miserable, grim greyness. Last year I spent 6 weeks in Africa and it was glorious.
