to be annoyed at DD's friend's Mum

AIBU to be annoyed that when DD (7) went to her friend's house her friend's Mum gave her fish fingers and beans as a dinner. When DD's friend visited us we gave her coleslaw and quinoa salad- a healthy meal! DD is ridiculously bright and unusually sensitive child and I believe this experience may have imbalanced her and disrupted her sleeping.

Is this a TAAT or just you trying to be witty?

Yorkieheaven · 05/09/2016 11:13

God love fish fingers, beans and cheesy mash. Heaven.

Thefitfatty · 05/09/2016 11:13

Not if it's my DH doing the tooting Drop

CocktailQueen · 05/09/2016 11:13

Yum - I love fish fingers. You can keep quinoa. Tastes of cardboard.

bombayflambe · 05/09/2016 11:13

SWBU, unless she covered the fish fingers with beans, topped with mashed potato and cheese and gave it 25 mins at gas mark 5.
HTH Grin

On the off chance you are being serious, when she came to your house did she actually eat the quinoa and homemade coleslaw? The odd meal that you wouldn't serve at home is hardly going to have a lifelong detrimental affect on your child's ability to succeed at school. If you make a fuss what it will do is ensure your child is never invited back to friends houses.

Take your pick. Odd "unacceptable" meal or social outcast. I know what I'd pick.

Treat yourself to a Greggs sausage roll and chill out.

mydietstartsmonday · 05/09/2016 11:17

OMG get a grip!

Okkitokkiunga · 05/09/2016 11:17

And can someone tell me what HTH is please.

ludog · 05/09/2016 11:17

Mmmm now I'm craving fish fingers, mash, mushy peas and ketchup!

WristBoundLatexBitch · 05/09/2016 11:18

HTH - hope that helps

PurpleDaisies · 05/09/2016 11:18

Well, she might get 10/10 for spelling, but the word is unbalanced not imbalanced in this context. So maybe you need more quinoa?

LurkingHusband · 05/09/2016 11:24

Everyone knows you need to use two flat stones.

not quite flat .... there needs to be a very slight raised centre, so the milled grain falls to the edge ...

If I learned one thing from Time Team it's what a quern stone looks like ...

RunningLulu · 05/09/2016 11:25

Maybe they were handmade fish fingers and baked beans? How do you know OP you weren't there lol

Beeziekn33ze · 05/09/2016 11:25

I reckon this is an 'imbalanced' sic
reverse by DD 17, yawn. Do your homework, dear!
Must go to stock up at Iceland via Greggs.

Gowgirl · 05/09/2016 11:26

I bet dd had great fun playing with the goat....

LetsJunglyJumpToIt · 05/09/2016 11:28

Good try...

MrsBobDylan · 05/09/2016 11:28

You've not even tried very hard for this op. It's a bit dull.

Irelephant · 05/09/2016 11:31

Nothing wrong with beans.

DD2 is spirited a pain in the Arse. She has been known to only eat beans and sausages for days at a time.

She can count to ten beautifully.

gillybeanz · 05/09/2016 11:31

Is this supposed to be funny?
OP can't spell, she obviously isn't as ridiculously bright as her dd.
What a croc of shit

embo1 · 05/09/2016 11:32

YANBU.
As PP said, where were the smiley faces?
