to be annoyed at DD's friend's Mum

AIBU to be annoyed that when DD (7) went to her friend's house her friend's Mum gave her fish fingers and beans as a dinner. When DD's friend visited us we gave her coleslaw and quinoa salad- a healthy meal! DD is ridiculously bright and unusually sensitive child and I believe this experience may have imbalanced her and disrupted her sleeping.

Ring 101.

And contact the school.

HTH.

damngirl · 05/09/2016 11:05

YANBU but only because she didn't mix salad cream in with the beans and fish fingers.

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 05/09/2016 11:06

See you are getting more and more ridiculous - although if this is real, I feel sorry for your child. Does she not eat protein?

DropYourSword · 05/09/2016 11:06

And cancel the cheque

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 05/09/2016 11:06

Sparkle Go on, spill the non existent beans!

Yorkieheaven · 05/09/2016 11:06

Not a bad effort.

Try a sad face for the guardian in your case. The daily fail is probably interviewing the child traumatised by the sight of you and dd milling your quinona whatever the fuck that is.

New 6th former with free period?

Quinoa is delicious and nutritious. DD needs it to fuel her brain. Add a pinch of flaxseed and it's 10/10 in every spelling test!!!!

As if this is a teenager. It's a bored, sad little person with nothing better to do with their life.

Thefitfatty · 05/09/2016 11:08

YANBU. Beans are evil. They're the fruit that make you toot.

Sleeplessinmybedroom · 05/09/2016 11:08

Definitely unreasonable to feed your Dd fish fingers and beans without cheesy mash. Terrible behaviour.

DropYourSword · 05/09/2016 11:09

How is that evil thefit. That's the added benefit!

LurkingHusband · 05/09/2016 11:10

We mill our own quinoa on the nutribullet. It's a fun bonding activity for us both!

So you have the long dark nights of winter sorted then ?

WorraLiberty · 05/09/2016 11:10

Still the school holidays for you OP?

redisthenewblack · 05/09/2016 11:11

OP is your DD also a gluten intolerant vegan?

Okkitokkiunga · 05/09/2016 11:11

We need to know if they were Iceland, Lidl or Waitrose fish fingers though...

Yorkieheaven · 05/09/2016 11:12

My teenage boys trolled mumsnet in an idle moment. Can be fun.

Okkitokkiunga · 05/09/2016 11:12

Actually fish is brain food too.
