Absolutely fucking livid . Probably disproportionately so as I am hormonal but I don't care .

Background description :
House then back garden then garage then fenced area then entryway . All my boundary up to where my back fence meets the entryway. I am end terraced so entry runs down left hand side of garden and house too.

Have lived here many years . Not close with any neighbors . One on the left killed my cat other across the entry is pleasant . Say good morning and exchange pleasantries but no more than that .

Have been finding bins on my bit of land behind my house for a while - thought it may have been a mistake that neighbors might have thought it was my bin and put it there all nice as you do.

Today I have just watched several of my neighbors take the bins of people who are out at work or not in off the street and put them on my land! Like the area behind my garage is a fucking neighborhood bin store ! It's not !

It's my fucking land and AIBU to tell them to get the fuck to fucking fuck and fuck off some more!!!

And breathe .

You should mention in passing to the crazy bin lady, (in your Hyacinth Bucket (sorry....Bouquet) voice:
"You know, dear, you really shouldn't put bins out before bin day. Makes the place look awfully untidy and lowers the tone of the whole street"

waterlily200 · 15/09/2016 13:14

How childish to steal a sign. It really boils my blood that people think they can do what they want. Some cow or cows have decided they are going to use ur land to store other people's property. Then removed your sign as they didn't like the look of it.

Think it's time to declare war and retaliate the chilli vase line, dog poo, nappies, chains and anything else the great mumsnet army can advise Angry Angry

PovertyPain · 15/09/2016 13:19

Make a lost poster with a picture of the stolen poster, and put them all around the area. Don't forget to give a sad story underneath giving the poster's name 'Posty, binny,' I'm sure you are heartbroken. Grin

This thread is fantastic

WatchingFromTheWings · 15/09/2016 13:55

Dont know if all councils are the same but ours stipulate that we are not allowed to put our buns out before 6pm the day before collection. Might be worth checking if you have the same. Would be a shame if someone reported your neighbour for putting hers out so early.

What about printing out A4 posters along the lines of 'do not leave your bins on my property' and taping (with packing tape) one to each bin that gets put there? If you wrap the tape around the bin a few times to secure the poster they won't get blown away stolen so easily.

WatchingFromTheWings · 15/09/2016 13:56

*bins, not buns!! Hmm

Yes, lock them up. Put a piece of string with a "no trespassing" sign across the broken fence.

In rl, I'd probably fix the fence. Being in a drawn out neighbourhood conflict is entertaining on mn, but draing in rl.

Trojanhorsebox · 15/09/2016 14:53

In rl, I'd probably fix the fence.

so would I - it might involve heavy duty padlocks, razor wire, CCTV cameras and signs, lots of signs - beware of the dog, trespassers will be prosecuted, warnings about hazardous chemicals and radioactive material - all made by OP using the diagram and sign making skills she has already demonstrated. This needs nipping in the bud - it's funny for us and she has a sense of humour about it but it must be getting really tiresome for her.

2kids2dogsnosense · 15/09/2016 14:59

Arfanarf I've been told more than once there's something a bit wrong with me. grin

More than a bit, I think. Can I be your friend? I have Smarties . . . Wink

New sign along the lines of private property unfortunately we can take no responsibility for lost or stolen items ( like the ones in cars parks) then lock them away on the garage or even the fenced bit of garden like pp said make them have the shame or knocking for a bin that would soon have them telling busy body neighbour to not touch their!! I also like the missing sign for the poster Grin

SlatternIsTrying · 15/09/2016 15:38

This thred is MN at its best.

OP you have the patience of a saint. It's time to ramp up the action, your neighbours are bonkers.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 15/09/2016 15:46

Make sure that your new sign, in addition to the excellent content of the old sign, also advises against theft of signage from your property...

LastBusHome · 15/09/2016 15:55

I've not contributed anything at all to your bin drama but have been watching with great interest and nearly had a tantrum when I couldn't find the thread again last Saturday! What are you going to do about the stolen sign Shock

justilou · 15/09/2016 16:17

I can't believe I'm so ridiculously excited about someone else's bin day! (I need a life....)

justilou · 15/09/2016 16:33

Have you considered "decorating" the ones you find on your block?

Op, take your neighbour's bin to the end of the road (or round the corner) and leave it there. See what happens Grin. not helping

Paint over all their numbers, then when it dries paint CUNT in big red letters.

2kids2dogsnosense · 15/09/2016 18:14

Those are ace justilou, but it would be quicker just to spray TWAT! on them.

2kids2dogsnosense · 15/09/2016 18:15

Sorry Walter - hadn't got to your post when I offered my contribution.
