Red my fear is through the roof and I used to be fine. I don't know why.

MyDressIsInferiorBlue · 25/08/2016 01:07

I also used to be fine. I think it was being overrun with jumping spiders (was getting rid of over 3 per day for a couple of months). Then being overrun by big long legged, weird shaped green-brown bodied ones (for last 5 or so months). The toilet incident (where one landed on my naked thigh) was the real breaking point for me.

Mummyshortlegz · 25/08/2016 01:24

I've just been defending someone and advising someone that everyone is accusing of being s troll. She may well be but being vile Isn't the way is it? I can't sleep because my hip is killing me so I'm happy enough to give advice to someone even if they are a troll. If I thought they were I'd just report it and I do. I don't be mean and nasty. I am completely on the fence about the poster, but I really don't think it's fair to troll hunt and be mean. Am I wrong? I feel like I suck at mumsnet.

AverageGayLad · 25/08/2016 02:16

Mummy Is it the partner smoking weed thread? I'm on the fence about that too, wasn't sure whether to post.

jetSTAR · 25/08/2016 05:53

Farking hell. The binmen in this seaside town are early Angry woke me up the bastards!!!! Hope I can get back to sleep.
Re. RNLI woman, there should at least be some sort of fine for that kind of stupidity, surely!

jetSTAR · 25/08/2016 06:07

Sorry to hear about your ordeal Red

Heavens, I thought I'd be first to post today but you've beaten me to it by over half an hour, jet! Sorry to hear the reason - so infuriating to be shocked into waking by a clanking bin lorry.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 25/08/2016 07:08

Sorry Red, but your spider story made me snort with laughter (nearly woke up DP) but only because that is EXACTLY how I would react in that situation.

When DP and I had been together about 6 months, we were on holiday. A motherfucking beast of a spider appeared and DP was screamed at to remove it. He wafted a piece of paper in its vague direction with the hopes of shooing it out of the door. Funnily enough, that didn't work and the little bugger shot under the TV stand. DP: "It's gone!" "No it bloody isn't. It's still here and now I can't see it! That's worse you moron!" He has since been taught that the correct way to catch a spider is with a jar.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 25/08/2016 07:10

Oh and the woman who had to be rescued three times... Sure, she is entitled to the help when she is in trouble. The FIRST time. Second time, maybe the tiniest ounce of sympathy. Third time? If she doesn't learn from two rescuings then more fool her. Leave her to it.

VanillaSugar · 25/08/2016 07:59

Red That story is so funny!! I actually thought you were going to say that it'd brought you a rat 😨😲

Woman and and RNLI

Once is unfortunate
Twice is careless
Thrice is certifiable

Morning, all!

I must catch up :)

VanillaSugar · 25/08/2016 08:03

Oh god, did you see that Nigel Farage has appeared on stage with Donald Trump? This is the future.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 25/08/2016 08:14

AGL is famous!

Bettercallsaul1 · 25/08/2016 09:27

Vanilla - Yes, I just saw that! What a combination! How on earth could either think that the endorsement of the other could win them popularity? I am greatly consoled by the fact that Trump's ratings are falling significantly after his series of gaffes. Ii's great that many Republicans are saying that they'll vote for Hilary rather than their own candidate - extremely reassuring!

AverageGayLad · 25/08/2016 09:44

I'm famous? Grin

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 25/08/2016 10:07

You know you've made it when you have a thread appear on Facebook. Grin I've only had it once though.
