Someone on a FB group wanting these. Got a mouthful of abuse for suggesting it might not be a brilliant idea to put these anywhere near a baby given the obvious naffness choking risks. Apparently they're fine because they just get clipped onto the pram hood and not the baby. Hmm

WTF is the point?!

Oh my!!!

DramaInPyjamas · 19/08/2016 22:33

These are really popular in my area, loads of prams have them hanging from the hood.
Not my kind of thing though!

GreatFuckability · 19/08/2016 22:35

hahahahahahahaha! well thats just made my evening, thanks OP!

ayeokthen · 19/08/2016 22:36

Absolute chavalanche 😂😂😂 they're everywhere where I live and they drive me crazy!

PaulAnkaTheDog · 19/08/2016 22:37

Tacky as fuck. However, if they are just hanging off the bar and nowhere near the kid they aren't really a hazard. I could understand people getting angry at someone questioning them doing something that wouldn't pose a risk to their child. It may have come across as condescending maybe?

Eatthecake · 19/08/2016 22:38

Mmmm what a tasteful little item

NaturalRBF · 19/08/2016 22:39

I know what I'll be buying my pregnant friend! Wink

Bocolatechiscuit · 19/08/2016 22:40

Grin chavalanche! LOVE that ayeokthen! Made me really chuckle-I'll be stealing that one!

ayeokthen · 19/08/2016 22:41

Bocolatechiscuit I wish I could take the credit but I heard it somewhere. Bloody brilliant it is too 😂

wiccamum · 19/08/2016 22:42

Oh my fucking lord. Seriously, why?

JonathanDunn · 19/08/2016 22:42

Yuck

wigglesrock · 19/08/2016 22:43

Not my thing but there's usually some kind of prayer/St Christopher medal /rosary beads/holy medal pinned onto the pram hoods where I live. Can't really get over excited about it - think you're overthinking the choking risk tbh. I used to hang my coat over the pram hood occasionally when mine were babies.

HeCantBeSerious · 19/08/2016 22:45

I envisioned it dangling into the pram (or more likely, car seat) like a budgie toy. Everyone knows babies leave shiny dangly things well alone and don't try to put anything but cutted up pear food into their mouths. Hmm

Dobinette · 19/08/2016 22:47

I guess some people think they look pretty. If you don't like it then you don't buy it! I doubt people would let their baby suck them.

Not very 'tasteful' attitude from some. Very telling.

Live and let live, eh?

Well, without one there's a danger someone might think your newborn daughter was a boy.

I think you were right to point out the choking hazard and make sure she was going to keep them well away from the actual baby.

But there is no accounting for taste.

HeCantBeSerious · 19/08/2016 22:54

Reminds me of Anita from Dinnerladies spray painting a Moses basket.

HeCantBeSerious · 19/08/2016 22:54

I didn't comment on the appearance. Just the choking hazard.

Garish and unnecessary

Chavalanche..... Not heard that before!

ayeokthen · 19/08/2016 22:55

Usual me

ZippyNeedsFeeding · 19/08/2016 22:55

Meh, not my thing but so long as the parents aren't stupid enough to actually let the baby get hold of it then I see no harm. I kind of admire anyone with a small baby who is together enough to pin some tat to the pram, I clearly remember poking myself in the eye when I was trying to brush my teeth when my PFB was about 8 weeks old!

meck · 19/08/2016 22:56

Ooh tasteful!

Ruby River. Is that some poor baby's name?
