Because of the mysterious popularity of these threads which no-one is actually responding to, here's the Seventh Thread.

The other ones have all filled up, but I'm not at all sure how.

(I have done this by proxy for VanillaSugar).

Come on people! Call to action here!

We have Being's* wedding to organise and lots of other good stuff.
AGL's holiday and exam results to get through.
Portia's love life and her DD's exam results.
Jess budding romance with Bambi Co-op Boy.
Better's quest to wear that blue bridesmaid's dress.
My addiction to posting memes which seems to be welcome on these threads.

LET'S GO...!!!!

Hmm... A horse drawn carriage. I was hoping for something a little more tacky to be honest.

Bettercallsaul1 · 18/08/2016 21:38

Will await with interest results of Gran/Jim discussions.

Bettercallsaul1 · 18/08/2016 21:39

What about a really huge pink limo?

PortiaCastis · 18/08/2016 21:39

Should be interesting to say the least

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 18/08/2016 21:40

A pink limo could work. It would fit all of us in it. Or a party bus?

RubyCav · 18/08/2016 21:40

What about a Hire Engine (not a typo)

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 18/08/2016 21:40

Anyone suffer from light induced epilepsy?

A Hire Engine? Confused

VanillaSugar · 18/08/2016 21:42

Hello! She got A*,A, B.

Sadly the B is in the subject she wants to study. She's only 8UMS marks off so we've asked for a remark. She's overachieved her insurance offer by gazillions. She doesn't know what to do but she WOULDN'T make any phone calls as she only wants to go to these two universities. I've found a course at First Choice which requires ABB so I've told her to phone them up tomorrow and ask if she will be accepted for next year. She's staying with BF so I can't shake the girl into any action.

I wonder if there's any correlation between the amount of money spent on a wedding and the length of the marriage. (Wouldn't be surprised if they're in inverse proportion. grin)

I let down the cheaper weddings side - mine was a grand total of £1,500 including absolutely everything from the venue and dress down to the new bra I needed with wedding dress to the honeymoon suite. We were married only 3yrs (together 8 long miserable years). I still can't believe I married him!

A Hire Engine? confused

It looks like a replica fire engine but says "Hire Engine" on it instead. Some people turned up to school prom in one.

Bettercallsaul1 · 18/08/2016 21:49

So it's the Uni, rather than the course, that's the priority then, Vanilla? In that case, the course you found sounds a dead cert as she's got over the required grades. Great to have the waiting over, I'm sure.

PortiaCastis · 18/08/2016 21:51

Thats a bummer Vanilla I hope she can get a course she likes. My dd so far is 17 and only wants to apply to 1 uni which is the same as her bf has just got a place. Love before further education it seems, but dd has to do 1 more gear so we shall see. We're going go Exeter open day in Sept but she needs other choices.

Bettercallsaul1 · 18/08/2016 21:51

Being - definitely not for migraine sufferers!

RubyCav · 18/08/2016 21:53

vanilla that's a shame. Hope shell be happy with the other course. She did really, really well getting an A*,A,B though.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 18/08/2016 21:55

HATE CAMPERVANS!! Angry

PortiaCastis · 18/08/2016 21:57

Wheres toad got to?

PortiaCastis · 18/08/2016 21:58

Sorry!

Bettercallsaul1 · 18/08/2016 22:01

Don't know, and Jess isn't here either to start another AIBU toad search. Grin

PortiaCastis · 18/08/2016 22:06

Jess is busy on her own thread and has deserted us. She'll get Jim as a wedding favour 😂

VanillaSugar · 18/08/2016 22:09

Thank you. Flowers

I'd be happy with Exeter as an alternative Sad

I think she should take a year off, learn to drive then go and do some voluntary work in the local art gallery. But I think she'll go for 2nd choice. God, it's like her marrying the bloke at the dance who said Yes after the first bloke turned her down.
