Ah Pinterest! The place to build up your dreams of DIY heaven, only to tear them down as you realise how ridiculously crap at DIY you are.

I've never got into Pinterest, although I have recently had a go as I am trying to get to grips with a capsule wardrobe.

Honestly, at my age, I am still trying to "find my fashion self" (or some such bollocks).

Had a huge clear-out over weekend of clothes I never wear.

I am fat, frizzy-haired and badly dressed. Blowsy (is that word still used?).

AGL i made a Novella Lawson chocolate cake which was a mistake as it was so dry. Um yes. Like soil actually. Then green icing full of E numbers. Then I broke squares of chocolate to turn into creeper.

Only.....

The icing melted off, taking the Chocolate squares with it. We watched as they gently slid off the cake.

Then.....

The school mums round here are very snooty. "Is that ALDI chocolate? Euwww. I always get my children's cakes sent up from Choccywokkydo."

toad. You have just described my good self! I definitely prefer 'blowsy' to 'frumpy' (which I rather suspect I am). I have attempted boho, preppy, surfer chic and even grunge - suspect I may be about twenty years too late for that one. Cannot really see myself as a goth, but who knows? Technically, I do have a capsule wardrobe because I seem to wear the same four tops and bottoms, day in day out (including the never-to-be-worn-to-Co Op beige monstrosities. Soooo comfy, though)

Ah, vanilla but I could. I so very could. I attempted a pizza a few months back. I had no idea that pizza dough was 'different'. I basically baked a very large biscuit.
