"Just pop baby in the cot/pram/bouncer/jumperoo and clean the house/get dressed/cook dinner/shear a sheep"

If it was that easy to just pop him anywhere I wouldn't have a filthy house, hair stuck to my head and DC eating beans on toast for dinner would I?!
So why don't you just pop the fuck off yeah?

I would extend the banning of advice to only recent parents to only those that have had the same issues... None of this 'oh your baby hates the car seat, mine loved it and slept in it for hours, have you tried hanging a toy up?' Unless yours also screamed for the entirety of every car journey and you found a magic solution you can pop right off.

Agree agree agree! It's when people say it's ok to let babies cry etc etc. Yes its maybe ok in theory, but years of evolution mean I am genetically designed to be unable to listen to my baby cry for any length of time without needing to help them, and if I don't then I end up going bonkers/crying too! I just can't leave my 8 month old to cry and he's not even a pfb, he's my third!

Haha allthatnonsense I wish I could forget how hard it was. He's 19 and I still haven't forgotten. And I had a good baby after him! 😥😥😥
