Just that really.
Where's a good place to live to escape all the Brexit madness?
I prefer Nicola Sturgeon to any of the psychopaths allegedly 'running' the country down here.

I wouldn't be rushing up here tbh. The political climate is no better.

pearlylum · 29/06/2016 22:50

Don't come. You wouldn't like it. Very few people read. Marrying outside the immediate family is frowned upon.

PresidentCJCregg · 29/06/2016 22:50

We get pissed, go on about independence and spend hours in Primark.

BoffinMum · 29/06/2016 22:51

Do they sell these beauties in Primark?

Moob man in a kilt.

PresidentCJCregg · 29/06/2016 22:53

I dunno. He's got the biggest boobs going so he might need the 'Primark Curve' range.

manicinsomniac · 29/06/2016 22:55

Manic, Scotland is in the UK. For the moment anyway. HTH

I know it is. But everyone seems desperate to either ignore that or make it not be the case. Which is really sad.

When leave voters threatened the UK's position in the EU remain voters said that British people stay and sort out their problems, they don't run off and leave everyone else in the shit.

Now that the worst has happened some of those remain voters now want to do exactly what they said they didn't want to do with the EU. Scotland not being a separate place to the UK is the whole point. But everyone is talking as if it is now.

BoffinMum · 29/06/2016 22:57

I just googled sexy man kilt and now need brain bleach and to wipe my internet history.

JassyRadlett · 29/06/2016 22:58

Then shit happened and somehow the leave campaign won and now those values aren't important any more? The EU was worth working with to save but the UK isn't?

Can't people work to save the UK from Scotland? Which last time I checked was part of the UK.

And if Brexit turns out to have broken the UK surely we can all pick which bit to fight for.

PacificDogwod · 29/06/2016 23:00

Boffin Grin

I'd have thought you{
I'd've thought you had more nous!

You need to get yersel to a pub lock-in - plenty of fun to be had

manicinsomniac · 29/06/2016 23:00

They could Jassy - if they're already living there. But someone who wants to leave England and move to Scotland is presumably in favour of Scotland distancing itself as far as possible from the rest of the UK and quite likely not being part of it at all.

PacificDogwod · 29/06/2016 23:01

Oh.
Laptop has developed a stutter Hmm

BoffinMum · 29/06/2016 23:11

I think of a potential relationship with Scotland rather like shagging a nice semi-Scandinavian hunk after a week dram or two. Whereas the relationship with England is a bit like a boyfriend from school following you around even though he still has spots and rides a moped.

BoffinMum · 29/06/2016 23:11

wee dram
Not a week drinking drams!

Lived in Aberdeen. Rains. Snows. Cold.

Still worth going to escape this madness!

BoffinMum · 29/06/2016 23:13

Has Aberdeen not run out of money?

See, I see it as being more wanting the UK to stay together but if Brexit leads to the UK breaking up, being on the side of the breakup that they feel more comfortable with.

But then I'm just an immigrant so I wouldn't see moving from England to Scotland as 'abandoning England' or vice versa as it's(currently) all one UK.

Shouldwestayorshouldwegonow · 29/06/2016 23:35

Never been to Scotland isn't that bad. Born in England and lived in Australia ( gorgeous) and the Middle East (challenging) but never ventured over the border. Can't beat beautiful England and Wales in my
Opinion.

Wish Nicola would drop all this Scottish shite and realise she's really English and come to Westminster and help us out. She's amazing.

Still pound up today so who knows.

BMW6 · 29/06/2016 23:39

I don't know how Scotland would feel about a mass invasion (again) by the Auld Enemy......Wink

manicinsomniac · 29/06/2016 23:45

what's being an immigrant got to with anything jassy (except I would have thought it would possibly make you more in favour of unity, not less.)

I don't see the tragedies of Brexit being about the UK breaking up or staying together. It's more about a wrecked economy, a wrecked reputation as decent human beings and a wrecked relationship with Europe, to our financial, cultural and social detriment.

Moving to Scotland might well put them on a 'side' they feel comfortable with - but that doesn't make it right. Leaving the EU has probably put a lot of Leave voters on a 'side' they feel comfortable with too - the side of 'I'm alright, Jack, and screw everyone else.' What happened to staying and supporting a community that's in trouble rather than fleeing to somewhere you see as better because it's easier for you? (general you).

manicinsomniac · 29/06/2016 23:47

someone who moves as a direct and sole result of Brexit doesn't see the two countries as all one UK

Redglitter · 29/06/2016 23:49

Nicola Sturgeon amazing?? She's am amazing pain in the arse you're welcome to her. Where should we send her

Shouldwestayorshouldwegonow · 29/06/2016 23:52

But would an independent Scotland want the euro? Would the Scots want another referendum?

Would Europe pay your kids tuition fees? Hmm says a mother who had 2 at uni and have another 2 going!

Seriously that free shit pisses me right off

HooseRice · 29/06/2016 23:53

BMW the more the merrier...most of us aren't xenophobes Smile

Shouldwestayorshouldwegonow · 29/06/2016 23:54

Red yes I mean amazing as a terrier with a bone. She just needs reprogramming Grin to execute brexit and sort out the EU.
