Norway and a few others will hopefully take the plunge

Hopefully some of the other main contributors of the EU will now have their own referendum.

There are a lot of disillusioned people in Europe.
People who like us, didn't expect the EU to get so big, and have to support so many poorer recent members.

Hopefully the whole flawed sorry mess will now collapse.

You know Norway isn't in the EU, right?!

reallybadidea · 24/06/2016 08:08

Brexiters are so well informed aren't they?

Lottapianos · 24/06/2016 08:08

That's what I'm hoping too. Absolutely horrified by the result but desperately clutching at straws and wondering if this might be the beginning of something better.

Lottapianos · 24/06/2016 08:09

Sorry, obviously not Norway but apparently there is some appetite in other EU countries for an in our referendum

EdmundCleverClogs · 24/06/2016 08:10

Norway isn't in the EU. Well done op, showing how intelligent and well versed in the EU many leavers are.

Brokenbiscuit · 24/06/2016 08:11

FFS! The ignorance is astounding!

DoinItFine · 24/06/2016 08:13

Yes, I'd say loads of countries are looking at the shitstorm about to befall the UK and wanting a bit of that action.

ApocalypseSlough · 24/06/2016 08:13

It'd be funny, except it isn't because it was giving uninformed little Englanders a say which has got us into this mess.

DiggersRest · 24/06/2016 08:14
Hmm

Unlike a lot of British DH and are able to move if when the shit hits the fan which is the only positive from this result.

HumphreyCobblers · 24/06/2016 08:14

er, that is one poster remember

When I have stated that I was not interested in being part of a supranational state not one Remain voter I spoke to has even known what I was talking about.

hollyisalovelyname · 24/06/2016 08:33

Switzerland aren't in either and they seem to be doing ok.

DoinItFine · 24/06/2016 08:42

Albania aren't in. How are they doing?

DiggersRest · 24/06/2016 08:51

Switzerland were never in though. This is different.

WhiskyTangoFoxtrot · 24/06/2016 08:54

There does seem to be serious commentary on moves towards a referendum in The Netherlands, and perhaps Denmark.

And then there's the ongoing difficulties in the southern eurozone.

So, yes, it's possible that the stresses on the EU will become excessive.

The ignorance Confused
And these people have the vote.

RaarSaidTheLion · 24/06/2016 09:01

General election on Sunday in Spain. Podemos is very anti-austerity.

ChasedByBees · 24/06/2016 09:08

Amazing knowledge of Europe there.

ghostyslovesheep · 24/06/2016 09:18

Brilliant op - I hope that was a joke!

Norway by the way had free movement of labour as part of its trade agreement with Europe so if you voted leave to 'take back our borders' good luck!

Gartenzwerg · 24/06/2016 09:21

Savagebeauty - are you suggesting that only people as clever or enlightened as you should be able to vote ?

ghostyslovesheep · 24/06/2016 09:22

People should understand the consequences of their vote

Gartenzwerg · 24/06/2016 09:26

Yes but in a democracy everyone has a vote. Whether they are male or female, black or white, clever or thick, educated or uneducated. They all have opinions. You may agree with them or you may not. You may think you know the consequences of a vote, but who is to say you are right. Only time will tell. Countries as a whole can be very resilient and adaptable to change
