I'm feeling pretty shocked and scared right now.

Why did you vote for brexit?

Lol at former babe I'm as working class as they come it doesn't give me a reason to be a fucking vile xenophobe with no clue how the economy works

beetroot2 · 24/06/2016 07:02

Cheap immigration labour made the working class unable to sustain their mediocre lifestyles. They were pushed out and undercut but greedy rich. It's now going to stop.

yaaasqueen · 24/06/2016 07:03

I've removed about 100 people from my Facebook as they're proving themselves to be shockingly unintelligent .. you should have to do a quiz before voting tbh

beetroot2 · 24/06/2016 07:03

It has nothing to do with being xenophobic

beetroot2 · 24/06/2016 07:04

un-intellegent? what a stupid statement.

MangoMoon · 24/06/2016 07:05

It's quite telling that the very people wailing about losing their jobs now don't seem to have given a toss about the working class tradespeople & lower income workers who have been increasingly flooded out of the job market by uncontrolled immigration over the last decade (apart from obviously paying lip service with placating words on the Internet).

fastdaytears · 24/06/2016 07:05

Well it will be interesting to see who is affected and whether you think those lifestyles improve.

WeDoNotSow · 24/06/2016 07:06

You should have to do a quiz before voting

Careful.

GrimmauldPlace · 24/06/2016 07:06

Do people truly believe that all the "racist" people in the UK voted leave and all the non racists voted remain? What utter bollocks. Yes, there are some misguided people who believe that leaving will help immigration. I can't see how it will change much to be honest. I do believe however that the EU has grown way beyond a sustainable level. Too many countries joining that can't put in what they take out. David Camerons deal was utter shite and it was made perfectly clear that that offer was final. Plus it hadn't even been put through yet and no guarantee that it would be.

It was made clear by remain and by leave that there would be a period of economic instability should a leave vote occur. The fall of the pound today was to be expected. I'm hoping that things will settle over the next say 10 years and we will come out in a stronger position before. I'm not panicking about my childrens future. Nobody knows what is going to happen and I think uncertainty is what is causing panic. What's done is done.

I voted remain by the way. Contrary to what I've written I didn't feel I had enough information to make a decision I was 100% certain about so chose to stick with what we know knew

Peppatina · 24/06/2016 07:06

Oh I have fastday, lots of them.

Just look at yaaasqueen's post.

Hear hear beetroot, all I hear is how much recessions and the pound dropping will make me worse off.

Newsflash: I and a lot of people can't get worse off. Every recession, every economic crisis and on the other hand also every time the economy does well matters not a joy to me. I know people say it changes food/ prices etc but I've never noticed a difference, doubt I will now.

I still have fuck all. Sorry that some of you might have to miss out on a holiday Hmm

beetroot2 · 24/06/2016 07:07

Yours hopefully won't, mine didn't for the last 10 years

duxb · 24/06/2016 07:07

Why do people not understand immigration & yet use it as the main construct behind their voting logic? It absolutely baffles me.

Frightfulphysician · 24/06/2016 07:08

Ok, if it's nothing to do with being xenophobic, what do you think will happen now?

All the immigrants that are already here will remain and at least half of migration is from non EU countries, so leaving the EU won't affect that number.

And possibly things could get worse, we may lose workers rights, especially if Scotland leaves and the country veers to the right politically.

bumbleymummy · 24/06/2016 07:08

MrsFizzy, beetroot reckons it will only take a couple of days. I don't think we need to worry at all.

Skinnyflatwhiteplease · 24/06/2016 07:08

Remainers have NO idea of the extent and the financial disaster that immigration / free movement has had on our NHS. Brexit gives our NHS a chance - under remain our NHS would be in a coffin.

What an idiotic statement.

Have you been in hospital recently? Who do you think is going to nurse you, operate and dispense medication? Who do you think provides much of the social care to vulnerable older people in this Country?
We are fucked without the EU.

zaalitje · 24/06/2016 07:09

Mango

Unchecked migration flooding working class job market

That's an argument about people coming over here, stealing our jobs? Because I've woken up to a friend who is now very worried for her businesses, employs around 40 people, over 80% are European, and says that British people just don't apply for jobsjobs. How's she meant to get staff?

fastdaytears · 24/06/2016 07:09

Newsflash: I and a lot of people can't get worse off

Yes you can. You currently have access to the NHS for example...

beetroot2 · 24/06/2016 07:09

It just goes to show how awful the previous "fluffy" ones can be.

I am elated that we are out.

Onthedowns · 24/06/2016 07:09

Exactly duxb!!!

Oysterbabe · 24/06/2016 07:10

I'm very, very worried about redundancy, interest rates, house prices crashing, negative equity. I can't believe we've done this to ourselves.
There are difficult and scary times ahead.

beetroot2 · 24/06/2016 07:11

europeans can now pay for the nhs.
europeans can now prove they are needed
europeans are no longer accepted as builders, we have our own

Kimononono · 24/06/2016 07:11

People are not happy, they are not happy with the party leaders. The votes show that. We won't fall to pieces, we will pull our selfs together and make away through this. We coped fine before it and time spent in the EU will have put us in the right path.

This is no time for chicken heading or hysteria. We are still actually part of the EU for a while yet - could be two years.

Asprilla11 · 24/06/2016 07:11

I voted remain, but for people to say;

"brexiteers are uneducated" is a nasty, snide remark and exactly why some people who voted to leave did so because of remainers smug attitude to them.

"remainers are more highly educated" - This is true in terms of the figures given (may not be accurate). HOWEVER being educated to a higher standard does not necessarily mean more intelligent.

Skinnyflatwhiteplease · 24/06/2016 07:11

Do leavers seriously think that Gove, Farage, BoJo et al give a shit about the NHS or the poor?
