I'm feeling pretty shocked and scared right now.

Why did you vote for brexit?

The NHS is due to austerity and cutbacks not being part of the EU!! Same as me I work for the police it's the cutbacks by a Tory government! I am extremely concerned about interest rates and recession

fastdaytears · 24/06/2016 06:20

Justas the ignorant bigots are those on this thread assuming that Brexits are all uneducated older people

Ok I'm a bigot, but I'm not assuming anything. I've already put up the graphs.

Iamthegreatest1 · 24/06/2016 06:21

Oh and by the way, I'm non white, highly educated and voted leave, add that to your graph.

fastdaytears · 24/06/2016 06:22

They don't let me change the graphs I'm afraid!

fastdaytears · 24/06/2016 06:23

But congratulations on being atypical

Rebecca2014 · 24/06/2016 06:23

Statistics are showing that Brexiters are all uneducated?
*

Maybe because they are the ones who have been affected the most by mass immigration, ever think of that?

Believeitornot · 24/06/2016 06:23

The tories have said that they will make massive cuts if we vote for a Brexit.

This was not a threat. This is apromise

What we may gain by not paying over to the EU, we lose in our economic power.

The world has moved on and we can't look back with rose tinted glasses and blame the EU.

OutsiderInTheGarden · 24/06/2016 06:25

What did the Leavers think was going to happen? Hope you're watching the markets today, and we can all enjoy that emergency budget when it arrives too! Thanks, Leavers. What saddens me most is that I've heard so much about younger voters being predominantly in favour of remaining, and it's them who will inherit the mess and the economy. I don't believe much of what Cameron says, but I do believe he's right when he says once we're out we're out. There's no going back. And given that immigration still seems like the major driver for this (despite a few Leavers denying this is the main or only issue, I'm yet to see much evidence) I feel pretty ashamed of Britain this morning. I think it's a very sad day. I actually hope that Scotland gets their second independence referendum, for their sake. Can I come too, please?

derxa · 24/06/2016 06:25

I voted Remain but.. I am shocked at the pomposity and arrogance of the poster who declared Brexiters must not be educated. It's this kind of attitude that lost Labour the last election

BoulevardOfBrokenSleep · 24/06/2016 06:26

Oh for fuck's sake, can you really not understand the diffference between 'more likely to be' and 'all'?

Inyournightdress · 24/06/2016 06:28

It's like nobody has ever heard of demographics...

fastdaytears · 24/06/2016 06:28

If that question is to me then yes I do understand that!

MangoMoon · 24/06/2016 06:29

EU too big for its own good now.

Too much economic imbalance within EU member countries.

Don't agree with the mess that other member countries have been left in.

Unchecked migration flooding working class job market.

Fed up of being ignored, belittled & silenced by the very politicians who are supposed to represent us.

To be able to self govern.

To start over with a fresh new political landscape & attitude.

To ensure balanced, controlled, worldwide migration on a skills need basis.

BoulevardOfBrokenSleep · 24/06/2016 06:30

Sorry, fastdaytears, I was frustrated by the constant refrain of "why are you saying Brexiters are all uneducated?"
Addressed generally.

OutsiderInTheGarden · 24/06/2016 06:30

EU too big for its own good now what exactly do you mean by that, though? I'm not attacking, I'm just asking a genuine question and keen to understand.

Roonerspism · 24/06/2016 06:31

I love how Labour (Diane Abbott) is saying we need to listen to voters! Bit late love!

AnotherPrickInTheWall · 24/06/2016 06:31

Just what Mango said.

Theydontknowweknowtheyknow · 24/06/2016 06:32

"I'm sick to the back teeth of immigrants getting first dibs on everything
We the British public have had enough of being second class citizens in our own country."

Oh FFS, what exactly do they get first dibs on? Second class citizens really?!

You've voted to fuck up our country on an inaccuracy. The pound has already plummeted. This is just the beginning..

fastdaytears · 24/06/2016 06:32

^Sorry, fastdaytears, I was frustrated by the constant refrain of "why are you saying Brexiters are all uneducated?"
Addressed generally^

Sorry, assumed you were on the team of calling me a bigot for being interested in voting demographics...
I am a nerd who loves looking at voting behaviour way too much but not a bigot

fastdaytears · 24/06/2016 06:33

I love how Labour (Diane Abbott) is saying we need to listen to voters! Bit late love!

A fair comment! Is she thinking they just get to have another go at their campaign?

Duckyneedsaclean · 24/06/2016 06:33

Because I believe the EU is undemocratic, corrupt, wants to take more & more power from individual governments, and can overrule UK decisions in law.

We signed up for a single market, not this.

twittwooery · 24/06/2016 06:33

Seems many leavers are full of soundbites and slogans but not much knowledge of what's going to happen. And the ooh people spoke down to me argument is childish

Grassgreendashhabi · 24/06/2016 06:33

To take back control, not only have 35% say on how we spend our money!

RaskolnikovsGarret · 24/06/2016 06:34

The people I know who voted leave (very few) and those who voted remain are very different. To a person, the former (even pre referendum) are ignorant racists. I think there is a large percentage of leavers who are. This feels like people are now allowed to be racist. I am so embarrassed for Britain. We will now be the isolated, laughing stock of the world. Our racists have spoken, but most of them are clueless as to what Brexit really means.

I hope I am proved wrong.

fastdaytears · 24/06/2016 06:34

Let's hope there's still some money to spend.

I'm too depressed to look at the pound again until I've had another coffee
