Let's get a grip here. We have uncertainty. We don't need to have 10 years of chaos, unless of course, the political class wants to punish us all out of spite for voting the wrong way.
I voted Remain out of caution. I wasn't red-hot on Remain. The majority of votes were Leave, and within the Remain votes, a lot were probably like mine, cautious and unenthusiastic. We are where we are. Uncertain times bring risks but also opportunities.
I want to see some leadership to make the best out of this situation, rather than give it over to people who are heavily emotionally invested in having their opposing opinion proved right.
So, for me, Cameron and Osborne have to go. How can they negotiate well for us?
I do hope that article 50 won't be invoked immediately. I hope that we will have a change in leadership. I hope that leadership will go back to the table with the EU, negotiate a better deal, run a second referendum, and we all stay in. That's what I would like. I am unlikely to get it though. And, if out means out, then I'd rather see the best possible result in this circumstance than to prove the Remainers right. I may have voted remain, but it is now in my best interest for the Leavers to have been right all along because we have voted Leave.
The Remainers claimed to be rational. The rational thing to do now is to accept the new reality and do everything possible to make it a success.
