Yes I have voted, but I am sick and tired of the unrest, I'm aware there has been a lot of discontent for a long time but its now feeling toxic and I want it to be over one way or the other.

OP posts:

its enough, we're out, don't really care what you say Wine

LittleLionMansMummy · 24/06/2016 06:17

On a micro scale our holiday in France has been royally screwed dizzy, especially with a baby on the way to save for. It'll be gruel and water for dinner for a while if we're going to make it there! Seriously though, pales into insignificance besides the huge uncertainty many are now facing over their future.

dizzyfucker · 24/06/2016 06:17

You talk of "we" as if those of us that voted remain are going to be rounded up by the pied piper of Farage and led, with all the forriners, into the sea to drown.

Frightfulphysician · 24/06/2016 06:21

Well beetroot, I suppose the silver lining is that going forward nobody in the UK can blame other countries for our own policy failures.

Except maybe Scotland...

dizzyfucker · 24/06/2016 06:23

It does, many lives will be up in the air now.

scousesal · 24/06/2016 06:25

I just know whatever the result was the UK has been divided .

beetroot2 · 24/06/2016 06:36

No ones life in the uk will change. it will just alter for others

onemorecupofcoffeefortheroad · 24/06/2016 06:36

Scotland will probably have another referendum for independence and will probably get it this time. I have friends in Scotland who were fierce supporters of a United Britain now wanting independence.

beetroot2 · 24/06/2016 06:46

All hail to you. I always thought Scotland should have done this the first/second time.

cedricsneer · 24/06/2016 06:51

Where are all the jubilant leave voters? I was totally shocked by the previous threads where so many were pro brexit - haven't seen much evidence of them on here last night/this morning (apart from beetroot Hmm).

Do they have the courage of their convictions, or was it just a bit of a punt voting leave? I'm hoping that they are hanging their heads now it may be dawning on them what this means.

shovetheholly · 24/06/2016 06:56

"No ones life in the uk will change. it will just alter for others"

We have a winner on the dumbest leaver on Mumsnet contest.

thebestfurchinchilla · 24/06/2016 07:04

How wonderful. The people have spoken and were not bullied by fear. Democracy all the way!

green18 · 24/06/2016 07:05

cedric I for one am very wary of gloating as I respect the remain voters are disappointed. I am very happy.

Whocansay · 24/06/2016 07:11

I, on the other hand, am fucking horrified and fearful for the future.

A tumbling pound and political instability potentially for the next 10 years? Scotland likely to leave the UK now? Jesus. What a mess.

gotnewplates · 24/06/2016 07:19

"Your joking right? This is a massive success for the working class. We have our country back!!"

Enjoy 'your country' dear. If it is run by unintelligent people such as most of the Brexit brigade, 'your country' will go even further down the drain. Enojy working as servants for the rich and mighty.

They say that when people have not much else going for them as in brains, looks, connections or money, they fall back on pride of their country.

cakeycakeface · 24/06/2016 07:21

Shove I was incredulous last night when the pound plummeted. Someone on Twitter posted a picture of the graph tracking it's vertical drop. Someone responded 'More scaremongering ' As if it didn't actually happen. If a visible tangible fact is 'scaremongering' then the level of stupidity among some is bottomless. I was incredulous. God help us.

Peppatina · 24/06/2016 07:25

I imagine you aren't seeing a huge number of happy brexiters because of the poison they are having spat at them.

TragicRabbit · 24/06/2016 07:25

I didn't know how strongly I felt until I turned on the radio and heard the news. I actually feel physically sick.
I can't believe DC put us in this position when he didn't need to.

scousesal · 24/06/2016 07:28

Farage" a victory for decent people " stfu kind of talk is really going to help heal the damage caused .

cakeycakeface · 24/06/2016 07:38

"The UK was the EU’s second-largest economy and largest military power. It will embark on the process of leaving just as the union grapples with huge numbers of migrants, economic weakness and a nationalist Russia seeking to overturn the post-cold war order."

From a Guardian article. I feel ashamed of Britain today.

beetroot2 · 24/06/2016 07:41

Im proud, we can negotiate now

Cosmiccreepers203 · 24/06/2016 07:44

The problem is how much is to be lost more than gain. The remain voters have lost the status quo. I thought of myself as a European. I kind of feel I've lost my identity this morning and am being forced to choose between a very small minded version of little England or being unpatriotic. It's too difficult to deal with.
A lot of remain voters are shocked and angry. I'm scared because you can see how the markets are reacting already. It doesn't help that a lot of the crowing leave voters seem to have very unrealistic expectations about what will happen next.
I feel like I've lost everything. I'm worried about my mortgage, my job, my kids and the future of the U.K.
I'd feel less angry if I could see that people did it for the right reasons. But all I've heard so far is half truths, bullshit and xenophobia.

beetroot2 · 24/06/2016 07:52

Hey comic, not wanting to be personal but were you born in England?

Cosmiccreepers203 · 24/06/2016 07:56

Yes. I'm white British. What has that got to do with anything?

beetroot2 · 24/06/2016 08:02

i don't care. Im revelling in the out.
