Yes I have voted, but I am sick and tired of the unrest, I'm aware there has been a lot of discontent for a long time but its now feeling toxic and I want it to be over one way or the other.

OP posts:
winkywinkola · 24/06/2016 05:51

When will the physical attacks on existing immigrants start?

beetroot2 · 24/06/2016 05:52

Dont be so stupid wink

shovetheholly · 24/06/2016 05:54

Don't worry beetroot. I still think you're a racist.

Wynona · 24/06/2016 05:56

Just woken to the news. I cannot believe the result. So very sad and worried.

beetroot2 · 24/06/2016 05:58

I don't care what you think, I have my country back.

LittleLionMansMummy · 24/06/2016 06:00

We've had three floods, all we need now is a Trump victory and a plague of locusts.

TurquoiseDress · 24/06/2016 06:01

I woke up around 5am, resisted checking on my phone.

Then saw the BBC breaking news flashes about the Pound crashing.

Genuinely fearful of what this all means.

And rather ashamed that the UK has voted to leave the EU.

winkywinkola · 24/06/2016 06:01

Beetroot you have no idea. Just watch.

beetroot2 · 24/06/2016 06:01

we had a very small voice for years now we don't. the people matter

beetroot2 · 24/06/2016 06:02

stop being such scaremongering dick heads.

scousesal · 24/06/2016 06:04

Sad but the public made the choice .Even if the result had been stay I feel the UK has lost allot in this whole thing.

Frightfulphysician · 24/06/2016 06:05

I guess 70 years of peace and prosperity in Europe was getting a bit dull. Hmm

dizzyfucker · 24/06/2016 06:05

LittleLionMansMummy ok that made me snort.

Frightfulphysician · 24/06/2016 06:06

So many people have voted massively against their own interests. It's truly a depressing result.

TurquoiseDress · 24/06/2016 06:06

All this talk about "having my country back" and that total idiot Farage going on & comparing it to when the Berlin Wall came down.

Literally have no words.

Racism, xenophobia & intolerance have won through. I am rather ashamed of the UK

LittleLionMansMummy · 24/06/2016 06:07

It's gallows humour dizzy!

dizzyfucker · 24/06/2016 06:09

All we have left LittleLionMansMummy I'm off to renounce my citizenship, fly my mum out and sell my house.

cakeycakeface · 24/06/2016 06:09

When I lived in South Africa, years and ago, after Mandela had just walked free, it was very very hard to find anyone who would admit they'd ever voted for the National Party.

If right wing racists emerge into the forefront, buoyed up and validated by this result, the non-racist Leave voters will shrink into the shadows and pretend none of it had anything to do with them. But so many will still blame them.

Please post a link to the Scottish thread when you start it.

flippinada · 24/06/2016 06:10

It's the endgame, isn't it?

Have started a thread on chat for any folk in Scotland to gather in and just have a chinwag/debrief type thing.

Cosmiccreepers203 · 24/06/2016 06:10

beetroot You are either a troll or very, very dense. Be happy, for today. But immigrants aren't going to disappear. It is still wrong to be a bigoted racist. There aren't going to be loads of jobs and houses just appearing in your area. If anything there will be fewer of both.
There will, however, be a rise in the price of British produce, most of which is harvested by immigrants.

beetroot2 · 24/06/2016 06:11

get over it, a rather huge majority voted out.

scousesal · 24/06/2016 06:12

Some friends made informed decision to leave but too many voted based on obvious racism. Its frightening

shovetheholly · 24/06/2016 06:13

Beetroot... that sound you hear isn't the British lion roaring. It's the pound crashing. You need a hearing test.

dizzyfucker · 24/06/2016 06:13

All this talk of immigrants being the problem and yet the places where most of the immigrants are, voted remain.

Frightfulphysician · 24/06/2016 06:13

51.7% is a huge majority?
