Yes I have voted, but I am sick and tired of the unrest, I'm aware there has been a lot of discontent for a long time but its now feeling toxic and I want it to be over one way or the other.

vavara

Well, if you are Scottish and desperate for another IndyRef (in the hope it goes Indy this time) and you know that a Brexit vote will trigger another IndyRef then you might be temped to vote Brexit tactically?

I think only a few would do this though. I think much of Scotland will vote Bremain, but it will be interesting to see the stats by area tomorrow.

I'm doing the opposite of back tracking, I'm defending my statement that all of the Irish citizens I know here are voting Brexit and for some bizarre reason you and others decided you know how my friends are voting (and why) better than I do Hmm

They're not the only immigrants I know who are voting Brexit either, but I guess you can just call that "shite" too and stick your fingers in your ears to pretend it doesn't happen

OrangesandLemonsNow · 23/06/2016 18:53

Bloomin heck that's close 😮

OhYouBadBadKitten · 23/06/2016 18:54

what did comres do with 10% of the people?!

AdultingIsNotWhatIExpected · 23/06/2016 18:54

spare does that account for the over seas citizens?

I wonder how that'll skew it, particularly the ex pats in non eu countries?

EatsShitAndLeaves · 23/06/2016 18:55

Wow that is very close indeed.

Thanks for sharing Spare

OrangesandLemonsNow · 23/06/2016 18:55

spare does that account for the over seas citizens?

They get counted with the main vote.

EduCated · 23/06/2016 18:56

Another one thoroughly unsettled and edgy. Just want this whole sorry tale over.

It really has been toxic. I'd normally scoff at words like that, but it's the only way to describe.

Positive this horrid weather isn't helping either!

EatsShitAndLeaves · 23/06/2016 18:56

I assume Comres didn't include the don't know's

sparechange · 23/06/2016 18:57

I don't know what each methodology is
I am being sent this as part of my work (and probably shouldn't be posting it her, because it is someone's IP!)
I'm going to post updates as and when I get them but with a clear 'Don't shoot the messenger' caveat!
You can probably get methodology info on the respective websites

19lottie82 · 23/06/2016 18:58

I've put a £350 bet on that we will remain, so I must be prefer confident!!!! I got odds of 4/7 a week ago. Odds had dropped to 1/3 last night and this afternoon were 1/12 so I think that's a pretty good indication of the way things are going to go!

AdultingIsNotWhatIExpected · 23/06/2016 19:00

4.5-5.5m citizens live abroad (depending on source), only 1.3 of them in Europe, Is it correct that not all of them can vote but many can?

There is potential there for the non EU ex pats to swing it, do we know what the feeling is from Austrailia, NZ, Middle east, Aisa etc ex pat communities?

Gowgirl · 23/06/2016 19:01

Wow that got a bit shouty!
Those polls are very close......on the brightside I made a nice cake

OP posts:
squoosh · 23/06/2016 19:03

Okay squoosh calm down, you know know more Irish people living in Britain than me if that makes your day

Calm down? I merely asked you a question. Sorry it has caused you so much agitation.

bacimamma · 23/06/2016 19:04

How does this betting work? Can i still do it?

Hereforthebeer · 23/06/2016 19:05

the populous one is not actually that close...
Populus - Remain 55%, Leave 45% a 10 pt difference is quite a bit of ground to make.. but still lots of 'after work' vote to be cast..
everything crossed for the right result.

squoosh · 23/06/2016 19:05

they are against unlimited immigration.

Long may the sun continue shining for your Polish friends. I hope their anti immigration stance doesn't come back to bite them on the bum one day.

squoosh · 23/06/2016 19:07

on the brightside I made a nice cake

On my brightside I bought some wine. And the sun continues to beam down in Glasgow!

Numberoneisgone · 23/06/2016 19:13

Wow this is so different to an Irish referendum. There is a 24hour mainstream media (not social media) blackout so no reporting of polls. All of my Irish ex pat recent immigrant friends (last 10 years) are voting Bremain. It is a 50:50 split for my first generation Irish relatives. The blue collars voting Brexit and the White collars voting Bremain from what I can see.

Numberoneisgone · 23/06/2016 19:14

By the way my family if it was not 50:50 could practically swing the vote there are a lot of them Grin

AdultingIsNotWhatIExpected · 23/06/2016 19:20

It is a 50:50 split for my first generation Irish relatives you sure you're not talking "shite" there numberone ? Wink
