I am counting tonight, and whilst I get paid more the long the count goes on, it is so annoying when people have folded their votes into 4 or 8 or made a swan out of it before posting it in the ballot box.

Please please, just a simple fold in half - one crease- there is absolutely no need to do any more folds than this!!!

Homemama · 23/06/2016 09:09

londonrach · 23/06/2016 09:09

BeyondTellingEveryoneRealFacts · 23/06/2016 09:09

Lweji · 23/06/2016 09:09

gruffaloshmuffalo · 23/06/2016 09:10

I was told to fold it into quarters, it wouldn't fit in the box otherwise

Pyjamaface · 23/06/2016 09:10

MurphysChild · 23/06/2016 09:12

You will be pleased to know I folded mine in half this morning. Unfortunately the chap in front folded his several times and had to push it through the slot.

AnthonyPandy · 23/06/2016 09:12

Is anyone else googling origami sites now? Grin

Juliarobertshair · 23/06/2016 09:13

HelloSunshine11 · 23/06/2016 09:16

The lady who gave me the ballot paper pre-folded it in half for me - she's obviously going to be involved in the count too!

londonrach · 23/06/2016 09:17

Anthony...maybe...😊

cuntinghomicidalcardigan · 23/06/2016 09:17

Anthony I do have a strange compulsion to learn how to make an origami Swan...

BurnTheBlackSuit · 23/06/2016 09:18

We start counting at the stroke of 10 as soon as the polls close.

With the general election, we started counting once all the ballot boxes had been delivered (so about 11.30pm!). But the government has said for the referedum we have to start at 10- so will be verifying the postal votes first and the ballot boxes as they come in. Then once all are in and verified, we will sort and count.

Ours you have to fold it or it doesn't fit through the slot.

tibbawyrots · 23/06/2016 09:20

I've been practising making an origami bald eagle for weeks now 😫

Borka · 23/06/2016 09:21

I've just voted & was specifically told to fold twice so it would fit through the slot.

ShowOfHands · 23/06/2016 09:23

I'm making an origami turtle.

IpanemaChica · 23/06/2016 09:24

One fold here, fitted in box just fine!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 23/06/2016 09:26

I hadn't thought about making a swan out of it. Excellent idea OP.
