I'm 41, he's 67(!?!), but i'm obsessed, want to write florid fanmail and am watching you tube clips of him all the time. Talk about undignified Blush .

I don't know whether it's a pre Menopause thing, tbh.

I went through a similar thing and so have most of the Women, who I've confessed to, around your age.

Peridotisinvalid · 21/06/2016 12:41

Can't you tell us who it is, so that we can judge you? Grin

BlunderWomansCat · 21/06/2016 12:43

Go on, tell us who it is Grin

Toooldtobearsed · 21/06/2016 12:45

My bet is David Essex Grin

Buy a poster and sellotape it to your ceiling, get a diary with a lock and write him love letters every night.

You will grow out of it, you know. I did! i was fourteen and it was NOT David Essex, it was someone much, much worse

Peridotisinvalid · 21/06/2016 13:04

Toooldtobearsed I thought David Essex too, but when I checked his age I found that he's 68.

Mrsraypurchase · 21/06/2016 13:07

Who is it? Can we have a clue? It's not Bryan Ferry as he's 70 now.

sleepwhenidie · 21/06/2016 13:09

Sorry OP, unless you tell us who it is we can't tell if YABU Grin

Mrsraypurchase · 21/06/2016 13:10

Oh God. Lionel Richie is 67...

DesolateWaist · 21/06/2016 13:11

I cannot comment unless you say who it is.

Toooldtobearsed · 21/06/2016 13:13

Nooooo, it cannot be Lionel Richie. Op would never admit to that, surely?

DJBaggieSmalls · 21/06/2016 13:27

Its either Lionel Ritchie or Ted Nugent.

auldspinster · 21/06/2016 13:29

It's John Foxx, original singer of Ultravox so pop star is maybe stretching it although he had a few solo top 40 hits.

Well, he got better as he got older.

Is it as he us now, or as he was then?

Hormones. The answer to everything. You WILL grow out of it eventually😆

liz70 · 21/06/2016 13:34

Thought 67 was a bit old for an 80s star - more 70s surely.

DH is a fan but he doesn't have a crush on him. Grin

squoosh · 21/06/2016 13:48

Is this a sudden onset crush? I doubt he's had a soppy fan letter in a while. I say write to him and make his day.

squoosh · 21/06/2016 13:49

I've had a google. Yes, he's got something about him.

sleepwhenidie · 21/06/2016 13:51

yess...something quite gnomelike about him squoosh Grin

Sorry OP, I'm in the YABU camp!

liz70 · 21/06/2016 13:52

Go hunt him down on FB.

auldspinster · 21/06/2016 14:21

As he is now. I liked his music for a while ans thought he was gorgeous when he was young but I had a rather erotic dream about him as he is now a couple of weeks ago and it's precipitated this situation.Confused

Ah, John Foxx (real name Dennis!!)

yes, very nice.

Mrsraypurchase · 21/06/2016 15:13

Feel the need to sing Underpass now. Smile

EmmaWoodlouse · 21/06/2016 16:18

Its either Lionel Ritchie or Ted Nugent.

Ted Nugent would probably shoot you if he heard you'd called him "pop".

IggyPopsicle · 21/06/2016 16:24

Meh, he's not my cup of tea but I can hardly judge, seeing as I once had a crush on Des O'Connor after having a rather erotic dream about him.

auldspinster · 21/06/2016 16:51

I don't need to do the signature practicing thing cos his real surname is the same as my given one.Grin
