His face was a picture when Allison Pearson asked him to give it a rest, --put a sock in it, as all the men on the panel had their at turn at speaking and now 'she wanted to say something'
Priceless.

Also, why's he on it? He keeps butting in..

We were watching something else, but turned over for Andrew Neil and caught the last ten minutes. Couldn't even stand that much! He looked, and sounded, like Su Pollard.

I like Hilary and thought he made a very persuasive case during the Syria debate, though ultimately disagreed with his stance. He made his points well and is very articulate. I too think he'll replace Corbyn.

Topseyt · 10/06/2016 00:17

Question Time was one hell of a pantomime tonight. Grin

Eddie Izzard and Nigel Farage seated side by side was explosive.

I've never seen a Question Time like it.Grin

Cleo1303 · 10/06/2016 00:20

Sorry, I think Hilary has the most annoying voice. I hope he doesn't replace Corbyn for that reason alone.

As for Eddie: I have great respect for his charity work, but tonight he was just awful. The pink beret? I can only think he's going for a Gay Che look. And he was so rude and constantly interrupted everyone else. (Gorgeous nails though.)

Interesting first post Suzprice

Not entirely sure why Izzard was there or to whom he is meant to appeal. I intend to vote remain and he certainly doesn't speak to me on a politic level or amuse me.

I wasn't sure what EI was getting at by saying Farage's parents were immigrants and that he is married to an immigrant?

Was he suggesting that that should mean Farage should support unlimited immigration? How unintelligent if so.

AFAIK Farage's position is that the UK should be able to exercise control over immigration. Or have I got that wrong?

And why is Farage a racist?

GiddyOnZackHunt · 10/06/2016 00:55

Whoever said DD needs to go, yes, yes. It isn't called DD's QT is it? He doesn't seem to know how to chair a discussion. Another BBC 'treasure' who isn't.
And I am bored to tears by sleb voices being rolled out to persuade me to vote their way. Nobody knows where we'll be in 3 ,year's time, in or out.

SouperSal · 10/06/2016 01:01

I don't think I could love Eddie more than. I do tonight.

ToffeeApple1 · 10/06/2016 01:12

Iknownuffink Please can you explain how Nigel Farage is racist. Thanks.

Iflyaway · 10/06/2016 01:15

I don't like it when singers/actors/comedians get all shouty & political

Why not? Keep them in the entertainment box?

Everyone has a right to their opinion on something that affects them.

Personally I like Eddie Izzard getting political. Makes a colourful change to all the boring suits (male/female)....

nancy75 · 10/06/2016 01:24

Because most of the time they talk in half arsed sound bites and are not that well informed. Obviously there will be a few that do know their stuff, but from eddie's performance tonight I would guess he doesn't fall in to that category

TheLambShankRedemption · 10/06/2016 01:31

I was most appreciative when the audience started to yell SHUT UP.

I was looking forward to EI being on QT and thought he may have something interesting to say on the subject. He acted like a bore, shouting and talking over Farage with a few silly soundbites. The fact that Farage is married to a German etc has little to do with arguments about how, or if, we need to control internal EU immigration at this point int time. I hate Farage but he ended up looking like the more reasonable one. Maybe EI is really on the leave side and is using subversive tactics.

TheNaze73 · 10/06/2016 08:08

I'm a fan of Eddie Izzard but, thought he let himself down last night

oliviaclottedcream · 10/06/2016 08:09

Izzard was a total Blairite which says it all really!!

Bolograph · 10/06/2016 08:10

Izzard was a total Blairite which says it all really!!

That he thought political parties need to be in office to do anything?

acasualobserver · 10/06/2016 08:12

I think you're all being very unfair about Eddie - I thought the Samuel L Jackson look was pretty cool.

LunaLoveg00d · 10/06/2016 08:28

This is often a problem when they have "performers" on QT - they are used to being in the limelight and not accustomed to taking turns.

DailyMailEthicalFail · 10/06/2016 08:29

Nicola Sturgeon IS a spiteful bully.
Have a look Scottish Politics.
SNP members have to sign papers saying they are not allowed to dissent from the Party Line EVER.
Those asking questions about the death of Liam Fee are shouted down.
Anyone who doesn't agree with the Independence vote being held again is 'not Scottish enough'.

I like Eddie. I like how he looks. I like his charity work. But he did himself no favours last night.

DailyMailEthicalFail · 10/06/2016 08:32

ahem. 'have a look AT Scottish Politics.
