Eddie Izzard was the best possible persuasive asset the Leave campaign could possibly have. I like to imagine thousands of Remain voters changing their minds on seeing him on QT. As a Leave voter I say bring it on and put him on lots more for the Leave campaign. Nothing could be better.

Saw EI last month doing his 3 gigs in 3 languages thingy. Was wearing the pink beret. When I first saw it on HIGNFY (I think) I thought it looked ok, now am sick of the sight of it. Anyway, at the gig he said he was a transvestite.

I complained on behalf of female's and trans people that we all shouldn't be lumped into the female category. EI uses male pronouns and others are gender fluid for example.

Just watched this. What an embarrassment he is. The producers should never have let him on being so ill informed and repaying ideology rubbish reading his notes during the debate with zero relevant fact or opinion to contribute. He came across as an ignorant egotistical boor and put Farage in a very strong opinion. What on earth was he thinking?

Given the BBC's unquestioning acceptance of transgender doctrine, they probably thought that having EI's "girl genetics" was just as good.

I Am Leo, the BBC explained trans issues through the medium of boys having blue brains and girls having pink brains, and equated wanting to be a boy with not liking long hair and dresses...

He used to describe himself as an action transvestite, he had a whole routine about it.
I used to love him, I thought he was hilarious. My love affair started to wane after paying a fair bit to see him live and discover he was still mostly trotting out the same routines we'd heard years earlier (and paid much less to actually laugh at first time). I thought the marathon thing was amazing but somewhat irresponsible but since he piped up about Scottish independence and tried to manipulate the media coverage as mentioned up thread I've lost interest completely.

EI is a gaslighter. He claimed recently he came out as transgender x I think 30 years ago. He described himself as a cross dresser or transvestite until Caitlyn Jenner came out and she received positive press.

I appreciate the BBC are trying to be more diverse with those on screen.

EI classes himself as a subset of male. His programme was called running man. Why the fuck is he being given a female's space rather than males place?
