Not sure though

I've got 2. One on each wrist. 3 stars in a "shooting star" design on one and a harry potter themed one on the other wrist. Didn't hurt much, healing was the worst part.

SemiNormal · 26/05/2016 17:18

I have a half sleeve, one on my shoulder and one on the back of my neck - the only one I don't regret is the one on the back of my neck, the others I really hate but not much I can do about it really. I don't lose sleep over itand I guess they could be worse but the half sleeve was a cover up of a very small tattoo and it just didn't need to be that big, tattooist persuaded me otherwise Hmm

BeyondTellsEveryoneRealFacts · 26/05/2016 17:32

I missed the 'what do you have' bit!

I have cherry blossom and childrens names on my forearm, watercolour lily on one shoulder and watercolour carnations on the other, a sun and stars on the top of my back/neck, lace heart and ivy across my chest, and a peacock on my foot :)

TheHobbitMum · 26/05/2016 17:38

I have this 9" bird on shoulder/back it didn't get at all for me although tattooist did say he was impressed at how well/still I sat for it lol I have a high pain threshold though! No regrets and I'm going for a full leg piece next :F

Name changed because it's my kids names (one of which is pretty rare) I have a Chinese symbol on my foot and this on my arm:

The Roman numerals is the year I git with DH.
The mouse symbolises the mouse my grandad used to draw me and my nan used to sing me a song about a mouse.
I love coloured tattoos so I had colour put through it.
And then my boys names with an arrow to my heart.

I don't think they hurt. Hot scratching maybe? I like the feel of it. I don't regret any of them.

I have a tramp stamp.. sorry lower back. A small Eye of Horus that I got after my first major heartbreak to remind me not to be so blind or stupid. At 17. So deep. It's small and inoffensive and it was pretty much my only act of rebellion as a spoddy teen. So it has a lot of significance! Sometimes I regret it, most of the time it makes me smile. It hurt but totally bearable and I was a teenage WIMP so if I can do it, anyone can...!

Better lighting of the colours in the mouse

thehobbitmum that bird is stunning! I love the colours!

brokenbone · 26/05/2016 17:45

I have four, top of arm, top of back, left calf and right foot. I love the one on my foot the most. Regret the one on my calf as it didn't heal very well and is patchy and the colour didn't take that great either. All of mine have meanings and are special to me. I don't feel the need to show them off to the world as they are personal to me and most of the time I forget I have them! It is painful but bearable and I'd rather have tattoos then give birth again!

Brokenbone I'm the same. A lot of people have commented that the mouse is upside down because when I show it to them it's upside down, but it's exactly the right way for me to see it, as it was done for me, not for anybody else.

spanky2 · 26/05/2016 17:54

I have one on my wrist which symbolises recovery from my abusive parents and that I can do anything.
I didn't react well and was faint and sweaty so he had to stop after the outline. Blush It's do do with my central nervous system, I was so embarrassed I googled it when I got home. But had the rest done and the touch ups with ametop numbing cream on. I really recommend it as to me without it it hurt like a motherfucker, but with it it was like a cat scratch. I'm going back for malin (Swedish design which means overcoming obstacles,) and this... I need to ask my tattooist if he can do watercolour. Can anyone recommend a tattoo artist in Hampshire area?! Abit cheeky I know!

The feather is what I want not what I have. Symbolises freedom to be myself.

spanky2 · 26/05/2016 17:58

Watercolour tattoo artist. I'm such a dummy today.

BadDoGooder · 26/05/2016 18:41

My sister has a tattoo on her kneecap!
I'm pretty tough but the thought of a tattoo on my knee cap gives me a wobble, she just wanted a tattoo in a random place, it's a goblin and actually looks really cool! (plus she can give him facial expressions by moving the skin, which is hilarious!)

Tabsicle · 26/05/2016 18:56

I have a fox on my back from a sketch my mum did for me just before she died.

A similar fox behind my ear for a thought fox from the Ted Hughes poem. Both hurt a bit but it was endurable and I don't regret either in the slightest.

BarryTheKestrel · 26/05/2016 19:33

I have 4, back of my neck I have a swallow, wrist I have a heart that I designed myself, hip I have a treble clef, and foot I have a floral vine designed by my ex.

I don't regret any of them and none particularly hurt, except my side of my foot!

Even the one designed by my ex I adore despite him being an absolute cuntbadger, because it was exactly what I wanted and I changed it from a back piece to a foot piece.

I have my next one booked in July and it's the biggest one yet, I haven't had a new one in 4 years so I'm a little apprehensive!

dustarr73 · 26/05/2016 20:12

On my sleeve i have geisha, swallow, water, cherry blossoms, japanese lucky cat a ,koi fish, foo dog and a flaming meteor.Thats a memorial one so wont be getting rid of that.On my thigh i have a japanese dragon, some crap writing and a flower on my lower ankle.
On the back of my neck i have a trinity symbol,,a whale on my shoulder. On my other arm i have woodstock and on my breast a love heart.

Then i have some tribal on my leg,a rose on my foot and thats about it for now.

LadyAntonella · 26/05/2016 20:18

I have one on the top of my foot and it did hurt. I have had it for over ten years and I still love it and don't regret it one bit.

NeedANewTattoo · 26/05/2016 20:18

I have a big one on my lower back (it's a 'tramp-stamp' but a pretty one!) that's about 13 years old and I often forget I have it.
In November I had this done on my inner wrist it's about 2" square and I love it. It's a memorial tattoo for my dad who we lost last year and he had loads including an oriental lady with a fan which is where I got my inspiration.
My husband has loads and I love them!
They do hurt but nothing major. Make sure you do your research as covering a bad tattoo is more pain than just tattooing.

MyBreadIsEggy · 26/05/2016 20:26

I have 12 tattoos.

I only really regret one of them - but luckily it's right at the top of my ribs, almost under my armpit, so not easily seen!
I've got two others that I don't necessarily regret having, I just regret having them done by shitty tattoo artists!!
The rest of them I don't regret at all. I have the entire right side of my ribs tattooed, my stomach, my chest - all notoriously painful area, as well as both arms and one thigh. Ribs were not that bad, chest was fine until it came to doing right over my sternum, that hurt a lot! My stomach was genuinely worse than childbirth. Not an experience I would wish to repeat on a hurry, and would never recommend it as a place to get tattooed Confused

DerelictMyBalls · 26/05/2016 20:26

I have big monster half sleeve, absolutely love it, so happy with it and plan to get it added to.

I also have my ex-DP's name on my back Blush That was a mistake, obviously! I plan to get it covered over with something at some point, but it doesn't really bother me: I can't see it.

DerelictMyBalls · 26/05/2016 20:27

Love the goblin kneecap!

MyBreadIsEggy · 26/05/2016 20:28

Should probably add that I've also tattooed myself....which was really dumb Blush
