Diesel is fine here now (SW France) although there was none last Tuesday. The shortages seem to be rather localised.

CoteDAzur · 29/05/2016 22:50

Diesel shortage is pretty bad around here (SE France).

The trick is not to go there while in the mist of the strike but easier said than done. Next, it will probably be the air controller strike during the Summer, just when we head off to France for our hols. If you want to know more about the french strikes coming up go to Cestlagreve.fr

Did you go Rollup?
Worse than the petrol situation is the flooding - central area and A10 really badly affected. Even Paris is affected here

Drinksforeveryone · 02/06/2016 17:42

I heard that there are strikes on the railways too.

Or potentially will be ?

idontlikealdi · 02/06/2016 18:06

There are my step dads train was cancelled today from Cannes. He's now trying to get back via Marseille I think.

tinytemper66 · 05/06/2016 18:04

There was no issue at all! We were restricted to 30 euros in some places but we were never unable to put fuel in.
Scaremongering by the British press! Quelle surprise!!

RollupRollup123 · 05/06/2016 21:20

Home as well. Glorious week in Brittany, very little rain, plenty of sunshine, plenty of petrol.

Bitlost · 05/06/2016 21:33

Home as well. We went all the way to burgundy and back. As others have said, the problem seems to be with diesel more than petrol.

TiredMaofTwo · 05/06/2016 21:37

I'm back today. No problem with diesel in Brittany.

tinytemper66 · 06/06/2016 10:56

Glorious weather in Wales and in France we were lucky to get home as the area we were in was badly flooded. I now wish we had used the mini not the Land Rover as I would still be there! First world problems eh?

Branleuse · 06/06/2016 16:02

we are back and had no problems getting petrol, although the weather was worse than most of the uk in normandy
