It can be any sized poo.

I park in them all the time when I take my elderly mum shopping. We are parent and child and she needs help getting in and out of the car and walking. Nuff said.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 20/05/2016 17:51

absolutely, starsmurf, I think that the P&C spaces should be given over to disabled spaces. If wider spaces are needed, they can be put towards the back of the car park.

I know that some posters will take issue with that, saying children need to be safe, but everybody does and a safe route from every point in the car parking area to the store needs to be properly marked.

igglepiggleisanarsehole · 20/05/2016 17:54

It gets right on my tits. I'd happily pay for a permit.

IPityThePontipines · 20/05/2016 17:56

Eh? I'm surprised. Nobody begrudges a wider space to a parent with little children in the car surely?

I'm not surprised. Despite the name of the site and it's intended audience, there is a tranche of opinion that any special allowances to pregnant women and mothers are completely unnecessary. If you think otherwise, then you're an "entitled" princess type.

MiddleClassProblem · 20/05/2016 17:57

Many elderly qualify for a disabled badge. It's worth looking into if they don't have one and as pp said, it can be used in any car they are in

Onlyicanclean10 · 20/05/2016 17:59

We are all only one crash away from being disabled so anyone who parks in a bay who isn't disabled should be prosecuted.

I agree would much rather see spaces for elderly people.

HoneyDragon · 20/05/2016 18:03

I'd quite like to put a poo on the head of the woman who was so intent on bagging a PC space I had to dive out the way of her speeding car as she didn't see me at all. Now I was a little unreasonable by standing in the middle of the road yes, but it was on a ZEBRA FUCKING CROSSING! Angry

If I had ANY kind of mobility issue I would've have been squished today.

BlackeyedSusan · 20/05/2016 18:05

better to leave an apology note that says sorry but you think your child may have left chocolate prints/suncream prints/ scratched/kicked/rammed trolley into car while they were getting in the car...

they will care more about protecting their car from your little horrors than any inconveniece they are causing people.

BlackeyedSusan · 20/05/2016 18:08

or do this

zeezeek · 20/05/2016 18:08

Is it me, or does there seem to be a lot of goady threads on here at the moment. Especially ones that seem to be pitting childless women against mothers.

It's almost like there is a certain newspaper that likes to print stories about one group of women against another.......

beetroot2 · 20/05/2016 18:12

No reason whatsoever to have these spaces in the first place. You don't have a disability do you, you have a child/children so get right over yourself. If you left a shite on my car I'd break your wipers off then smear said excrement all over your screen Grin

LarrytheCucumber · 20/05/2016 18:15

It is perfectly possible to get a baby seat out of a Ford Galaxy in a normal parking space. I did it today. I also managed to faff about with the wheels, bags etc. I am foster Granny though which obviously gives me superpowers;)

This attitude really annoys me. Why are people so selfish? A bit more room for mothers with young children as a common courtesy isn't that much really is it.

beetroot2 · 20/05/2016 18:20

These spaces in supermarkets were a marketing ploy designed to attract people who think that having children makes them "special". You aren't you know Grin

sue51 · 20/05/2016 18:22

To Dame Xanadu

97 year old dad no longer drives, I act as chauffeur. He isn't entitled to disabled badge as he only uses a wlking stick occasionally on his "feeling a bit wobbly" days.

I always park in P&C spaces in Sainsburys. The complete twats put them closer to the door than the disabled ones. When they planned the car park they thought it was acceptable for disabled people to go over a road in the car park and up a hill, I disagree.

We don't think that. But a bit of compassion doesn't hurt does it? I mean if you'd rather I bash your doors in trying to get my son in, that suits me. Grin

It's not my fault if I can't get him in safely without bashing your doors in when the P&C spaces are full of childless people! Take it up with them.

BuggerLumpsAnnoyed · 20/05/2016 18:32

Do you know wha? It is bloody annoying when people who don't have children park in those spaces. Yes it's "just a convenience" but I live in a small town with small car parks where you can barely open the fucking doors of a car unless you're driving a mini metro. So trying to get a car seat, and a five year old without bashing the car next to you is tricky.

Do I get annoyed when I see elderly people with mobility issues using the spaces? no

Do I get annoyed when I see general fucking tossers merrily skipping along using the spaces? yes I fucking do

beetroot2 · 20/05/2016 18:33

Compassion for what Future? Why would you bash my doors getting your child in and out of a car? Take the child out of the car seat, open your boot, take out your buggy and slot him in then proceed to the shop, repeat on returning.

If that seems to be an insurmountable deed then strap the child chair on the seat directly behind you. You wouldn't park where you can't get yourself out so whats the difference.
